True, but not everyone who has those skills chooses to be a PC gamer. I've been putting together my own PCs since 1994 and have a degree in Computer Tech. from Purdue, and yet I choose to game on consoles. I still have a PC for exclusives, but when I have the choice, it's 360 or PS3.I wouldn't say smarter. I think the average PC gamer would generally know more about PCs and they way those types of games work, which in comparison to a simple console, seems like it would require a higher intellectual commitment.
Society pins a nerdy, smart image on computer elites, imo someone proficient with a computer is due to experience and knowledge, no different than someone who knows about a car, or some other area. It doesn't mean that they are generally smart. It depends on the subject.
