[QUOTE="i5750at4Ghz"]The huge amounts of misinformation in this thread is amazing.shinrabanshou
Half of the thread is just people arguing about characters or who's smarter than whom. It's System Wars I'd expect no less. There's a ludicrous insinuation that piracy helps the industry somewhere in the thread. I suppose that would fall under misinformation.
The notion that George Hotz is a freedom fighter for the common folk, and not just an attention craving self-interested egotist is also presented somewhere. The video speaks to the latter.
As well as the idea that there is such a thing as an unlimited freedom, when liberty rights only extend so far as they do not violate the claim rights to others.
The TOU/EULA of the PlayStation 3/PSN is largely irrelevant to the case, beyond personal jurisdiction, which was granted for other reasons anyway. The video indicates he has agreed to the TOU/EULA of the PS3 at least anyway.
And apparently people are unaware that a TRO and impoundment order was already granted, and/or are still encouraging George Hotz violate it. He technically does in the video, by "posting" the keys, although they're largely illegible.
For someone apparently reasonably intelligent, he's also very stupid. His e-ttorney will not be amused.
Exactly, everyone is talking about how smart he is and how this is a matter of freedom but really if this guy was trying to do something to better himself or the gaming community then he would have used a bit more discretion in regards to the hacks and his response to Sony's claims.
