GeoW graphics still amaze me. Still amongst the best on consoles (56k)

Yes the game looks great and really showed what this gen was capable of, and now MGS4 has even surpassed it.wooooode

I disagree, it hasn't even surpassed Uncharted either. Textures are bad, and I can't find anything that looks amazing. I didn't get that huge shock and awe factor, other than in a few cut scenes, but that was from the cinematics.

I still think it is far too bloomy and brown. The technical proficiency is there, it is just covered by over-used filters and effects.foxhound_fox

Seriously gears graphics are overhyped, if you take a slightly closer look at the character models you would see that they're actually not that great. They only look good from a distance. Plus the game has little physics and small environments...munu9

it was a pretty game but I just didnt like it. Not saying anything kills it but I thought FarCry for Xbox was better then Halo 2. So dont listen to me.

I know it looks so good, I just got done playing about an hour ago :).

Epic made the UE3 and knows all of the nooks and crannies of it, Gears 1 was ahead of its time. Still only 1 or two games look as good or better.

Which is why it looks great. It seems that the game with the smallest enviroments tend to have the better graphics. Well, games for consoles anyway.

That statement is very on point, Uncharted had small environments and looked absolutely mesmerizing. Gears of War in my eyes is the 4th best looking game on consoles

Art is subjective. I found some of the colors, architecture, and lighting to present a beautiful artistic styIe. I still laugh at the fools who say it's all dark and brown. Obviously, they haven't played it, have a bad memory, didn't finish it, or are flat out fooling themselves.
