Am I the only one who hated the first after playing it for 30mins.

I dont think this will change my opinion on the franchise.

aaronmullan

Nah. Aaron also hated it. Didn't ya know?

When did I say I hated it? Seriously, BSO. What's with you following me everywhere and trying to make me look bad. It really hurts my feelings. I've been coming to these forums for 5 (nearly 6) years now and I think I deserve a little respect. I don't need this on an online forum. It hurts.

Dont worry man, people around here respect you a lot more than they respect BioShockOwnz.

ON TOPIC: Wouldn't mind trying out Crackdown 2, especially if the co-op turns out to be awesome

Here's hoping these new cats don't muck up the works. I rather liked the first one.

Will it be offline coop? If not, I'll skip. I enjoyed Crackdown a lot, but I think this is almost the same thing (including slightly altered cities), with zombies.

I think Brink will have a better co op experience.

lawlessx

Let's hope it's better than Quake Wars. Does look very awesome, though.

quake wars..that game had so much potential and the developers drived it right into the ground

it has a metacritic score of 8.4 :|

[QUOTE="Ninja-Bear"][QUOTE="110million"]Is there still no proper local co-op? I bought the first one used a while back and part of the reason was the co-op, but then it was online only or 2 360s, so I was dissapointed, still great game though.110million
You couldn't do split-screen on an open-world sandbox game with a huge city. That just wouldn't work.

Why?

Underpowered consoles. BUT they could do something like Fable II or San Andreas. (Both characters being on the same screen at once)

Halo 3 and Left 4 dead/2 take the cake for best co-op.

Same thoughts here, not going to claim anything until a demo comes out. Off topic: Epic sig! Why did you get modded for the old one:O!? It was so full of win and SW fun. :P

I thought Crackdown 1 was very mediocre but saying that I thought Chinatown Wars was better than GTAIV.

I think this sequel is going in the wrong direction imo. It's not even being made by the same developers.

But it's adding on to the crazy/cartoony over the top style while adding 4 player coop and competitive multiplayer. How is it headed in the wrong direction?

I'm not a fan of the "Left for Dead" vibe it has. I just wish it was handled by Real Time Worlds since they were responsable for the first game. I'm cautiously optimistic about it.

Fair dues. Speaking of Real Time Worlds, APB looks like it'll be a blast to play. :)

Hated first, don't care for the second. Bring on AW and reach and leave crackdown in the gutter imo.

Borderlands, that game has millions of guns, vehicles, quests, huge world, DLC, etc and had local co-op with no tether except if you enter a new area that requires loading.

Should be lots of fun. Let's hope there's a decent campaign to accompany all the mindless fun you can have. Definite potential for a solid AA game here imo.
