Getting kind of worried about Xbox 360 power against PS3.

People really do overestimate Cell, it can do visual effects but it wasn't built specifically for that. The bulk of PS3 visuals are still determined by RSX, Cell just adds a bit on top of that.

If all they are going to use it for is better visuals; talk about a waste a technology, they would have been better off investing in a custom GPU.

If I'm doing the math right....with the exception of the PSOne and the orignal Nintendo. (Dont remember how stong the Saturn or the N64 were. No I don't count Dreamcast since they were calling it quits before the PS2 came out) , the weakest system tends to capture the top spot.

as far as sales:

Sega Master System < NES

SNES > Sega Mega Drive

Game Gear > Gameboy

PS2 > Xbox, Gamecube

DS < PSP

Wii < PS360

all the greater than are weaker systems.

And not to many games were in development for as long as Killzone 2 and other PS3 exclusives. But, it of no consern to me...My favorite system from last gen was the PS2 the weakest system last gen(Yes, even weaker then the Gamecube) and I still loved and played it with better funner games. Not to mention that it didn't do to bad in sales either. So, is you are worried about a system doing better due to graphics, I wouldnt...

Are the games good on 360? Yes

PS2 was weaker than Xbox but I enjoyed PS2 very much. I wouldn't mind that PS3 is weaker than 360. Both systems are good and have great games

I think PS3 fans should be worried aswell. Their super computer with mighty cell cant handle 360 graphics is 95% of the cases...:P

MGS4 looked good - the rest of the games all look at the same level as the xbox 360

Apparently the multiplats actually look better on 360 - but I choose to ignore people that have soo little thier life that they like to spend their free time comparing screen shots.

You should be scared cause devs are finding ways to maximize the use of the 360 to it's fullest while devs are finding ways to fully utilize the PS3 to it's maximum.

It's seems the same when you read this but the PS3 as alot more to evolve with. The 4th year is where we see PS brands showing it's best and now its starting is 3rd year and we are already seeing a huge list of exlusives that show what it can really do.

I disagree they would of launched at $800 if there was no MS. Nobody would of bought the ps3. I still think they would of put it out at the same price. They could of done that with ps2 by charging $500 when it was first released. However, I don't disagree about MS charging more money for online play and I never will agree with having to pay for online play its just absurd.
