Getting New System - Advice?

I have been gaming for many many years

The choice is yours, I was intially very concerned about the RROD when I got my 360 over 1 year ago, but after an initail hiccup my 360 has been flawless.

try to avoid hype, know both the PS3 ans 360 are very evenly matched graphically, and go from thier, look at the games available, and coming, and decide what appeals to you

for me, after owning an original xbox that I enjoyed, I bought a 360, and, I have really enjoyed it

HAZE-Unit u have a nice list of games there (where do u find those games listed, if they're not out yet?) Hmmm, a few of those I might want, but I don't buy a ton of games. I wont playGrand Tursimo, NFS and maybe Nascar or Indycar.- Does 360 have many RPG's coming out - since u was listing PS3 ones?

Martin, why get the Arcade instead of the $350 package that comes with 2 games and a HD and other stuff. If I get the Arcade wont I have to pay $80 or $100 for the HD, what else does that one come with?

Just thought I'd let u guys kow, i got an Xbox 360 this week. I got the one that comes with Forza 2 and Ultimate Aliance. I bought NBA 2K8. And I plan on buying Eternal Sonata off ebay.

I tried to hook it up to the internetonly with theSilver Membershipso that I will be able to get roster updates. (I've never had xbox live before.) When I went to plug in the Ethernet cord to my computer, my Modem already had the only spot filled with my internet cord. So I need to buy an extra hookupthing. I think i need a Router??? (Also, I had to move my xbox to the middle of the room to reach my cpu, so is there an extention I can get?

Is there anything else I need to buy now that I have a 360 (Or Advice)? Someone mentioned before I bought it to get a charger pack. I'll look into that. Anything besides that?

Also, I signed upat http://www.xbox.com/ because someone told me I need to register my xbox incase I have any problems with it. But I couldn't find anywhere that I need to put my serial number or whatever I'm suspose to .

Aother Question - I thought I'd try a couple of the xbox games I still play (they are on the Backward Compatibility list, but I don't think they were the first ones on there). NCAA Football and Harry Potter & the Chamber of Secrets - but both siad that the game isn't supported on the 360 console. So do I have to update this? How do I do that? And I want my rosters and game saves, but they are on my xbox or my xbox memory card which doesnt fit into the 360 slot.
