Gfk UK September Sales - Xbox continues to rise! Xbox +136%, PS5 +24%, NSW +18%

Oh lawd, someone needs to help PlayStation, pretty please! First they have a SALES DROP in the US, and now they can't even increase their sales to match the power of X month over month!

It seems the problem with PlayStation is leadership, and no games for 1 year. And with Sony now focused on GaaS, and yet canceling games like TLOU2 Factions and going all in on TV TV TV, this will probably be the new norm for Xbox and PS.

I guess the good news is, Xbox has Phil, and Sony finally dropped Jim Ryan.

Probably a good sign of things to come before PS goes the way of the dodo bird..

Main story is only 10 hours. 6 hours if you skip the cutscenes. I am playing Forza Motorsport 2023, FFXVI, Spider-Man 2 and Starfield at the same time. I don't just play one game and move on. I like shaking things up.

Amazing absolutely bonkers. 136% sales increase, and we're just about hitting the holidays. This is just insane.

Todd's biggest hit is still Skyrim. I had a blast with Skyrim and even to this day, I'm still playing it and keeps me going. Starfield however isn't doing any of that. But I like the gunplay, so that's something I'll give credit for.

Well the switch is in fact in the same generation as the ps5/xss/xsx. The Wii-u was in the same generation as the ps4/xb1.

yes but switch was made to get nin out of a failed system and to compete with ps4 sales numbers. nin didnt say lets make switch to compete with system that will not come out for another 3 years after it launches. like saying kia 2017 is made to compete with 2020 toyota.

They will go up again in October, then November and December, no matter what games release. MoM comparisons aren’t very useful as each month has a built in sales pattern. That's why YOY is a PROPER comparison. As in the financial reports comparisons are YOY.

XSX is slightly down YOY September. This is per Welfare. But estimates are maybe few Ks here and there. But correctly is PS5 is up YOY, XS and NSW down YOY

Looking at those individual sales figures and the percentages the Xbox and PS5 increased by the same amount of sales - approximately both have got an increase of about 20k. Xbox started from a lower start point so the increase in % terms looks more.

So having the same increase as Sony means that Xbox crushed Sony,
