Damn, the hermits are taking this topic way off-topic.

But you can't disagreee that the 360 version of CoD4 was the best, easier controls and online are what got the 360 version the better scores in the first place. A pretty lucky fluke for the 360 version, but I doubt this will happen again.

TripleEXP
Too bad the PC can use the exact same control scheme. Not to mention the PC online is better. The PC version has better graphics, better online, better sound, more variety in controls, ability for mods, costs less, etc.

[QUOTE="cobrax25"][QUOTE="wok7"][QUOTE="cobrax25"]

[QUOTE="wok7"]lawl, multiplats are always rated higher on consoles because they were made for consoles, though I agree it is a shame that the powerful PC hardware really can't adapt to games unless they were strictly made on PC hardware. O well, we're done with HL2 and can finally enjoy Crysis, now just wait 5 or so years untill the PC finally gets another worth while exclusive.wok7

maybe your comment would hold up a little better if the PC didnt get the most AA/AAA exclusives every year.

and no...multiplats are better on the PC.

Come back when PC gets good enough to become mainstream, then it might get the most AAA's.

And no, the multiplats are better on the consoles, read the reviews or wait a year longer for your version to come out (GoW PC lol)

Really? so the 360 version of COD4 has a map editor and runs at native 1080P?

and here are your AAA's....enjoy.

The 360 has better controls and Online, PC's (controls and online) are just too cluttered for these types of shooters (before you mention dedicated servers, stop, and realise that XBL rendered those obsolete long ago)

Mods? No one cares for them but a small minority, the amount of mods even worth trying is even smaller. And lol @ the list of expansion packs and unknown titles.

Ok nap time now.

No the PC version is better...more players per server, a map editor, and it supports both KB/M and gamepads, though I dont know why you would ever purposefully limit yourself by using the former.

have fun with your autoaim, and lack of filters.

C0D4 already has some fantastic mods out there. That alone makes the PC version worth more.

Sorry i'm not reading 6 pages of posts i'll just directly answer your thread title: Just because some games have lower system requirements doesnt mean they have inferiors graphics. Unreal Tournament games always have the lowest system requirements but also have the best graphics in the gaming industry.

1. Gamepads are never as responsive on the PC as they are on consoles. The mouse will always be more precise, but the Key Board part of the combo is in long-over do for a make over, the analog stick pwns it for player movement.

2. More players != better online, CoD4's maps aren't made for so many people. Sure there's custom maps, but not everyone has access to them. If there were this feature on the 360 version, it would become much more usefull and everyone wouldn't have to do much to obtain and install them thanks to XBL being there for everything.

3. Stop arguing about CoD4, the majority of professional reviewers found the 360 to be the best. Maybe you guys can make a change once you become old enough to review games yourself. BTW where you guys even here when the demo's were released? The best version was determined to be the 360 version at the time too.

1. Gamepads are never as responsive on the PC as they are on consoles. The mouse will always be more precise, but the Key Board part of the combo is in long-over do for a make over, the analog stick pwns it for player movement.

Wrong, Gamepads are identical on the PC, especially the 360 controller.

Wrong, Player movement is so minor it makes little difference at all, mouse/keyboard doesnt need a revamp at all, other than the fighting genre its perfect and the best option. ( of the standard control schemes ).

2. More players != better online, CoD4's maps aren't made for so many people. Sure there's custom maps, but not everyone has access to them. If there were this feature on the 360 version, it would become much more usefull and everyone wouldn't have to do much to obtain and install them thanks to XBL being there for everything.

Wrong != plenty of people have access to mods, what you need xbox LIVE to baby sit you through everything? if you find full servers with mods then whats the problem? :S

Mods would not be more useful on a console, mods often up the requirments, a console cannot meet this demand.

3. Stop arguing about CoD4, the majority of professional reviewers found the 360 to be the best. Maybe you guys can make a change once you become old enough to review games yourself. BTW where you guys even here when the demo's were released? The best version was determined to be the 360 version at the time too.

360 is not the best version, show me one reviewer which has stated that which was just between the PS3 & 360 ... I own both versions, the PC version slaughters the 360 version.

and most likely all future multiplats for PC will too, but, why?

The consoles still end up playing the multiplats the best...

cobrax25

Umm,The Orange Box,GeOW etc. disagree.

Portal of the orange box and The Sims 2 games would be the only ones to disagree, GP.

ROFLAMO...thats so not true...GEOW is better on the PC...its even stated in the review...every RTS mutliplat is far far better on the PC....the whole Orange BOX is better...COD4 is better (map editor), Bioshock is better (mod support)...just about every multiplat is better on the PC...because of better graphics, Mods, stronger online (dedicaded servers for all major games), more control options....etc.

Bioshock also plays better on the PC. Sure it may come down to preference a LITTLE but hacking is SO annoying on the 360 version that it ruins that entire section of the gameplay. It is much more fun and smooth on the PC. Also, the interface plays much better on the PC. It is really easy to swap between plasmids and weapons on the 360 but scrolling through weapons is not nearly as easy as it is on the PC. Overall, everything just plays better on the PC version.

And yes, 99% of games will be better on the PC. And, TC if you think games like GH3 and AC have NORMAL requirements, you are just deluding yourself. Ports will probably stay at the same level they are now for a while assuming the developers don't take the time to upgrade the PC version's graphics. And a lot of developers will start going back to using the PC as the lead development platform and just porting that version to consoles with lower level graphics simply because the PC is cheaper to develop for than consoles and it would make their life a lot easier overall.

That would be Eeeeh wrong. The only thing the PC does better for gamepads is the possibly of setting the deadzone for the analog stick that some games dofeature.

COD4's online on the PC ism uch better thanks to dedicated servers and the custom maps.

Dedicated servers are good for instantly joining a game, but that feature is fading more and more often. Plus they crash, close and cost the dev's money to keep up. XBL, while a rip off if you choose the yearly plan, is much more organized, if you like ease of use that is.

Professional reviews are often bigoted about the PC version, which is vetter.

Stick to PC only sources for biased gamereviews then.

wow...you have no idea what you are talking about....

gamepads are the same on both platforms....

Devs dont pay anything for PC dedicaded servers...they are run by the community not the devs. Their are far more connection issues with P2P than their will ever be with Dedicaded servers, such as admins leaving, and very frequent connection losses, plus the lag is far worse.

You still have not given a single reason for the 360 version being better.

Shows how little you know..... The community fronts the cost by setting up their own dedicated servers. IW doesn't maintain or pay for those servers. As for crashing or closing, I have NEVER had a dedicated server crash on me. EVER. I have lagged out(User side issue in that case) but that would happen on XBL(but on XBL you also get host side connection issues that can cause a game to drop) also....

IGN, GS and 1UP have all said the PC version is better... ALL of them.

Is it just me, or does this child remind you of a miniature wok7?

Listen kid, I have a PC. I have an Xbox 360 WIRELESS CONTROLLER!!!, and I have CoD4. KB/M is more precise and has a faster response time. The wireless 360 controller I have for my PC is surprisingly responsive and the response time is soo short that a human brain could probably not even pick up on the delay. The PC version of CoD4 has better online (dedicated is the best, not to mention free), the most precise controls (ask any reviewer), and not to mention being $10 cheaper. Almost every review site I have seen says that the 2 versions are equal, and some even said that the PC version is better. I am not going to even argue about the demo because that is a mute point.

I know the PC version is better, you know also, so does wok7 (whether you two are too blind to admit it), and all the other posters in this thread.

Also, I wouldn't say pwn and exit if I were you. It makes you sound like the usual 13 year old lemming that floods SW with arrogant posts.

Why can't the Hermies just accept that CoD4, a SHOOTAN GAEM, is better on a console for unexpected reasons such as better controls and online? It is indeed a once in a life-time event, stop being so greedy.

really...how so....the PC version supports gamepads...

and online wise has every feature of the 360 version, and more because it runs on dedicaded servers, has a map editor, and supports more players online if you want it too.

The controls and Online, (even the graphics to some extent just looked better on the 360). Thats what the reviews said, that how the demo's felt, thats how the final games played.

Going back to one of my earlier posts, multiplats are just better played on consoles, just feel happy that the PC plays Portal the best, as well as being the best for the Sims 2 expansions.

[QUOTE="TripleEXP"]Sorry PC fans, you can't argue against facts. You've already ruined your reputation as supposedly being much more sophistaced fanboys down to whiny children.TripleEXP

what facts? you have not given a single valid reason the 360 version is better...go ahead...Im still waiting.

the PC version supports gamepads!!!

and plz...give me a single online feature of the 360 COD4 thats not on the PC, cause I can give you several that are on the PC and not on the 360 (Dedicaded servers, map editor, higher player count...etc)

and better graphics lol....not a single multiplat ever has better graphics on the console side....roflamo...the 360 version of COD4 doesnt even run in HD...its just upscaled...while the PC version can go way beyond 1080p....

[QUOTE="wok7"]Why can't the Hermies just accept that CoD4, a SHOOTAN GAEM, is better on a console for unexpected reasons such as better controls and online? It is indeed a once in a life-time event, stop being so greedy.stephant_6

Once in a life-time event? Did you not just state that PC-gaming can't even compare to consoles? Or do I need to quote you.

Get out.

The console versions of multiplats usually just have better gameplay, but this time its a once-in-a-life-time event because the console version out does the PC in controls and online. Don't blame me, I didn't make the game.

I love how we became whiny children, even though we are the oldest, and most mature community.

Damn, the hermits are taking this topic way off-topic.

But you can't disagreee that the 360 version of CoD4 was the best, easier controls and online are what got the 360 version the better scores in the first place. A pretty lucky fluke for the 360 version, but I doubt this will happen again.

Lets just hope that DMC4/RE5 (two up coming games with PC ports) have better optimizations.

I too am surprised at how quickly the PC community can break down when even a multiplatform game is in question of not being necessarily the best on the PC.

I too can't help the fact that MODs, better graphics, better online, and smoother gameplay are ruining PC gaming. Thats a shame.

How's C&C 3 and TF2 holding up for you guys?

Of course C&C 3 is no fun without a mouse, but TF2 is awesome simply because of the split screen. Though even on a PC the game isn't much to brag about since its art style and gameplay mechanics are out of date
