Hmm, Sounds like more fun then a barrel of locust erm I mean monkeys. :P

Seriously think this game is gonna be a blast for both Ghostbuster fans like myself and gamers in general and it's darn near the top of my most anticipated multiplat games for 2009!

AA all the way unless it gets the AAA nod - don't laugh, it could happen. :o

Discuss should you feel the need.

The Story.

After getting dropped by one publisher, the release of Ghostbusters: The Video Game was pushed back. The Atari game is now slated for June 16. With that extra time, what has developer Terminal Reality done?

Polished up the game and made it more like Gears of War. These days it seems like almost every game is taking one thing or another from Gears - for better or worse.

"We're trying to make this pretty mainstream as far as a third-person shooter goes," says Atari senior producer Garrett Moehring. "Because that's really what it is for the most part, it's an action-shooter - Gears of War Lite, in a way. But it's not as complex."

Not that Gears of War was super complex. By "GearsLite", Moehring seems to be referring to simplifying the number of buttons used and the controller layout. He goes on to say they've streamlined things to make a better experience for all players. Things like auto-ghost-wrangling and unlimited traps have been added.

Meh. Ghostbusters was not even interesting when they were popular. The only thing good about Ghostbusters is the awesome theme song.

It always seamed to be a perfect fit but to be honest, I don't know for certain and I feel the same. This looks ready made for 4 player co-op and if it's not in the game I'll be very disappointed and the score and sales will suffer big time.

No buttons needed as you will control everything by telekinesis - It's Ghostbusters after all.

Seriously, I think that is what they are getting at here. The original control style may have included many buttons but they have now have patterned things after Gears where the A button does most things depending on the situation.

Yup, I remember that. I also rememberhaving a nerdgasm on that scene. But now? Now we notice how lame that actually was.

Like in the end of the first Batman (Tim Burton's), all that "Batman writes to Gotham city"-stuff.

I mean... WTH???????

I heard you cannot actually lose the game, that losing all your HP just results in a short amount of time on the floor until you get back up.

This really puts me off the game.

No, the game only has 2 player coop and head to head. You take the roll of the fifth Ghostbuster, the Rookie as you're call, and
you join them as the guinie pig as you test Egon and Ray's new weapons
.

The 360/PS3 will have online coop while the Wii will stick with local.

Correct and you can help your teammates out too. Think of it this way, if your character is in a trench and to get 'killed' by a grenade, and a medic revives you. That just addes to the games realism. It remains to be seen if you can actually loose you life complete if you're all alone in a level and you die.

That's the thing, I heard you cannot lose the game, getting knocked down just results in temporarily lying on the floor for a bit.

Part of the fun in a game is succeeding, if you cannot lose there is little satisfaction for winning.

That still remains to be seen at this time. Helping a downed teammate adds to the realism to a game similar to this one. I wouldn't want to be left behind if I still alive and injured; would you?

Batman, the Dark Knight, writting a letter to the dear folk of Gotham City? I mean, seriously???

What else did the letter include? His personal 0900-Batman line? His email adresse (batman2576@yahoo.gh)???

I love the movie, but that part is lame. :x
Don't like. You're ageist! You think anyone over 25 is likely addled in the brain and unable to keep up in the video game of your choice :P

Ageist???? hardly...:x And do you think your reflexes are still the same as, let's say, 5 years ago?
