http://www.yougamers.com/news/24672_ghostbusters_pc_system_requirements_-_no_multiplayer/

The PC version has insane requirements. These are larger then Crysis! Their will be no multiyplayer for PC and PC users won't get DLC like the 360 and PS3 versions. And the game comes with DRM that requires you to activate the game online. And with all of this we haven't even played the game yet which could be buggy and crap in the end.

The game isn't even out yet and its already being called a poor port.

Screw them. I'm not even sure if my nestalgia for Ghostbusters is enough to justify me getting this game anymore.

I'm one of those people who refuses to support a dev for shoddy work. I don't care how gut the 360 port is if they are kicking the PS3 and PC versions to the curb.

Dark Messiah of Might & Magic was the worst port so far. but it seems this little demon of a game will break it's record.

I'll still get it :P

Its dirtcheap as well. $28 / £18

Didn't know any version had multiplayer so can't say i care, and i would not have got the DLC either.

Yes the system reqs seem a little insane, but iam sure iall run it fine :)

Why not support the good version, though? Just show them that you won't support the bad versions by not getting it for PS3 and PC. If you have a 360, then I don't see the problem.

Well the money still goes back to them. Not buying the PC version just means a lack of a PC version in the future. It may be crappy work, but its still on the PC unlike a lot of games.

And they deserve that money for the 360 version. It turned out great. Just don't support the other versions and send a message.

But I am a PC gamer, and if I don't support the PC version then they will stop bringing games to the PC and I lose. As I said, its better to have it supported than not supported at all. Other games, like SFIV will show developers that if you port a PC game right it will sell.

This so wrong... Seriously, as someone who played the crap out of his PC between 1995 and the early 2000's, these things make me feel kind of glad I stopped trying to keep up with this ridiculous hardware war between Nvidia and Ati, and lazy developers who take advantage of it by releasing horribly optimized software.

At least Blizzard still understands what made PC games so awesome back in the day.

Apperently the PC version has graphical things the consoles don't.

LINK Full interview link is at the top.

"The PC will most definitely be an optimized version. For example, if you have a fast SLI/Crossfire rig, you can turn on per pixel screen space ambient occlusion. The game will perform up to 64 raytraces per pixel on the screen to increase the detail level. That is something you cannot do on the current consoles. Plus you can increase shadow map resolution and use super high resolution textures if you have the memory!"

Maybe thats why there are insane recommended specs?

I'm a PC gamer first. They should support all the consoles equally. Same goes for any mulitplat game (like Fallout 3 on the PS3). If your going to support the system, do it right.

I don't want to buy the 360 version when there is a PC version. My 360 is for 360 games and games that just wont work well without a controller (like SFIV). If you got a mulitplat thats on the PC, thats the version I buy. Why? I'm a PC gamer. Do I have to explain why I am a PC gamer who has a console for the games I just can't get on the PC?

If thats how you want to look at it... sure.

Its more that if your going to do it, do it right. That kind of point. I have bought a few games for my 360 that are on the PC cause I am huge fan of matchmaking (dedicated server browsing blows), but the PC is always my first choice. If a developer refuses to support all of the platforms equally, unless its a game I really want, I don't think it deserves to be bought. Sure my PC can easily play the game on the max settings, but thats not the point.

Its more of just who I am. If you do things, do it right or don't do it at all.

On top of that the PC version doesn't come out in the EU until later in the year, so they are basically asking people to pirate it as there is no way to buy it! The Sony exclusive thing is just stupid.

It will be if we keep getting shoddy ports. * Windows XP SP2, Windows Vista * Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 or equivalent * 4GB RAM * ATI Radeon HD 4800 series, NVIDIA GTX 260 series or higher video card Most rigs only meet the minimum requirements! I havent got a hope in hell running this game, yet I could run Crysis on high with budget hardware.

4GB ram  As if anything ported from consoles would ever need to break the 32bit memory barrier.

Well I might have looked past the crappy optimisation, remember Assassins Creed was hyped as needing 3GB ram but clearly didn't need it on release, but the online activation DRM makes this game untouchable for me.

I tried putting up with Securom activation and gave it a chance, didn't work well, so now I automatically boycott any game using it.

Apperently the PC version has graphical things the consoles don't.

You don't need to be tech savy to see that quote is BS, 64 raytraces per pixel? Lol.

They are superior on PC; but bad optimization happens. 360 with Quake 4 and The Last Remnant, PS3 especially with most cross platform games, should be well aware of the exceptions. However those exceptions do not undo the common expectations of the platform.

They will not be receaving any funding from me, and my gameing collection will be all the better quality.

wow that is horrible. i don't even think that 4 gigs RAM were in computers. i thought it was like 3 gigs RAM. those are insane specs for a computer. these graphics aren't even as good as crysis. this is one reason why people say PC gaming is dieing. developers don't care about how they make a port to the PC so they just make a game. it needs to be optimized better. if they think that is optimized then they should think again.

I can't really see why people were so excited for this in the first place. Only a small percentage of games based off movies/books/shows are ever any good. Why would GHOSTBUSTERS of all things be an exception?

I think this particular developer team are just not very good, hell look at the PS3 version despite Sony being the publisher/rights holder.

We will have to wait until it is out before confirming it is unoptimized as hell, but either way the Securom struck it off my list.

Recommending 4 gigs of memory is a first for any game on the PC. It is clear this game is unoptimized to the PC.

Alyssa Milano is one of the voice actresses, there is not to much to complain about.

Plus, a bad PC port isn't very much of a big deal, I mean, its only a port to a PC, how bad could that possibly be? If you're really itching to play a decent version, just play it on your convenient console and rent the game from your local renting store.

I think may actually top GTA4 for worst PC port this gen, because this is just down right disgraceful, taking away the multiplayer, having stupid requirements to play and then to top it off wanting full price for it, but then again at least its playable unlike GTA4 PC port.
