I have an xbox 360, but seeing the lack of exclusives I've been thinking of investing some money on my Pc.

I mean, Ms relies a lot on 3rd party support, I dunno if it's worth paying for online and for more expensive games anymore.

I don't play many exclusives, except Halo, which I like, I think Pc is the right choice at this point: better multiplats, free online, cheaper games.

what do you guys think?

Your choice. PC has a variety of games, so go with whatever suits you more.

well doing the math, I'm not going to spend THAT much if I'm to buy a good graphic card. moreover, I'd save the money from the xbox live and the ones for the more expensive games than the Pc's. I dunno.. also the graphics are starting to show their age on the consoles. I can't decide whether to upgrade my pc and make it the main gaming platform or not. :S

If I had the money to make gaming on PC only worth it, I would. But I dig consoles. Do it if you can.

PC+PS3 IMO is the best you can get if you cannot afford all consoles, imo you must have a gaming PC before your Console unless ur low on money :)

no reason here, unless you like playing inferior games on the 360.

but when you can get an ATI Radeon HD 4870 for 120$ and cut xbox live off and pay less for the games, well I see some saving there..

Depends on some things

What genres you like the most?

Are you already PC savvy? Are you willing to learn if not?

Gonna play with friends? They play on PC?

get the pc. you wont regret it. its especially nice to gain access to that silly-large back catalogue of games.

the only exception would be for if yall did a lot of split-screen type of stuff.

I don't think I can. I don't know you enough to find the right reason to convince you to.

sounds like you're asking for opinions but for me its simple price is a major issue. you dont have to update the 360, many of my friends have 360 and play on XBL , many console 3rd party games arent on PC or come out 6+ months later like RE5 or SF4. A lot of the big exclusives like Mass Effect and Gears come out over a year later on PC , I'd rather not wait a year for little to no extra content. I'd rather play new games at the time. The only thing I want on PC so damn badly is Crysis

yeah well, I've been working with pc's for 20 years. it's what I do for a living :D but some years ago I decided Pc was not "worth it", but now I realized that the money I spend for the xbox 360 might be not worth it anymore, seeing that I could play the games I like on my Pc, without spending much actually. and I'd regain them, because I'd have not to pay to play and would find pc games at a cheaper price.. all these little details put together make one big of a detail. yeah the only thing is that I'd lose that good service which is xbox live.

Whilst some of his points are accurate, you forget that you also get PC exclusives, a large back catalogue of games, on top of better graphics and control scheme (opinion). Games like Mass Effect 2 are also getting concurrent release dates.

Upgrading takes place once every couple of years. People are still gaming happily on an 8800GT which was released in 2007 (?).

So there are benefits to both.

The only feature I prize highly from consoles over PCs is offline multiplayer... though the 360 and PS3 both have seen that function de-emphasized somewhat. Still, if you game with your buddies over a lot, it is something to consider.
