Least: PS3- Free online, fantastic menu layout (XMB), undeniably great exclusives.
Most: Wii- Terrible online service, terrible multiplats, shovelware plagued...
Hmmm * How is online service terrible? Can you elaborate? If you mean FCs and accessability to the menu and your friends, then I agree. But in terms of VC, Wiiware etc., you're wrong. * Multiplats.....games like Tiger Woods 10 say otherwise * How is shovelware a con? You don't have to buy them Translation: "I want people to say good things about the Wii while making fun of their highend system."Least: PS3- Free online, fantastic menu layout (XMB), undeniably great exclusives.

Wrong, don't put words in my mouth and I already addressed my 3 cons on the Wii. Watch it, next time. I'll no longer discuss the flaws with anyone, kappeesh?Least - 360 - Great online service, great pc multiplatform games, (Mass Effect, Left 4 Dead, ect) achievements are for every game.
Most - PS3 - Online service lacking features, installs do barely anything and take up too much space, no backward capability in newer models.
No. It isn't. Example. I dislike Tom Brady. But I won't deny he's one of the best quarterbacks in football.WHy would a give credit to a console that i dislike? Isn't that considered an oxymoron?

Wii: EXCELLENT Virtual Console downloads, a few good exclusives, easy to use interface
Xbox 360: RROD, Ridiculously priced wireless adapter, payment for Xbox Live required.
What do you get for XBL anyways? You get to play excellent games such as Halo online. I personally think it is worth it, but I needed a third thing to put in my last list.I honestly can't say anything positive about the system I don't like. There's a reason I don't like it! Nothing good about it.
But I will say something bad about my two favorite systems.
~~ Only some racing games are fun with standard setup
and for the other system
~~Some genres can't meet their full potential on the system
~~Online sucks
~~I wish it was more portable

that's all of them except for PC because PC is in a different league and I don't really game on the PC much.
Hmm it's kind of hard to choose my fav. console. Right now I am playing Tri so I will say Wii I guess.
Wii: Just an all around awful online.
99% of multiplats are the worst on Wii.
Capcom and Nintendo seem to be the only ones releasing games for it now.
Nintendo takes awhile to release it's big hitters.
Outdated graphics/power
Lacks some types of genres.
Useless accessories I only use on one or two games.
Basically a lot of things.
My least fav is my 360 I suppose
Amazing Online
Gets best multiplats
has a lot of good PC/360 multiplats
more good things etc...

I meant feature-wiseI hate the triggers too but FPS game rarely use those buttons for shooting/aiming as a default button scheme. 1 down......eh that's about all I can think of about the PS3 tonight, now off to bed.I can't do what you ask of me TC. I don't have all the consoles to obtain an opinion for all of them. Instead, i'll give pros for the 360 (which I don't have)and cons for the PS3 and Wii(which I do have).
Pros for the X360:
- From what I hear from others, Xbox LIVE appears to be awesome
- The Avatar system. I think it is so much better than the Avatars on PS HOME
- Halo, despite what many others say, seems really fun to meCons for the Wii:
- Sometimes, the motion controls annoy the crap out of me
- Trying to use the online features sometimes annoy me also.Cons for the PS3:
Izzycles
- HOME. Biggest disappointment evar imo
- When im playing a shooter, I hate having to use L2 to aim and R2 to shoot. Im too lazy to change controller settings
- The web browser
This is impossible in my personal educated reality of opinions even if I was tipsy, I apologize. Wait, I found one, it has the number 3 in the end just like the number 3 on the Xbox 360, I guess that's the only pro.Its simple.
State 3POSITIVE things about the console you like the LEAST. (Pros in other words)
and State 3 NEGATIVE things about the console that you like the MOST. (Cons in other words)

Wii cons: Friend codes are a hassle, not much third party support,
PS3 Pros: Free online, great D-pad,
The Wii:
It has a lot of games
It has sold a lot
The blue light in the disk drive is awesome
The PS3:
The triggers are poorly designed
Looks like a grill
Old controller design

cons
ps3-loss of features within the past 2 updates , lack of voice chat accros the games i play ,, home is even wierder
360-gotta pay for online , doesnt include wifi and does not play all xbox games
wii -theirs only one con ofr this said platform and its graphics, which i dont mind i never really cared for graphics since the snes era i was satisfied,
pro
ps3-plays bluray free online ,my60 gig plays ps1 and 2 my slim only plays ps1s and 3s has 4 controller ports-yes about time
wii -plays all gc games /accesories except gb player and modem obviously plays n64 snes nes and other varios older games via download new intuitive controls help more games ,become fun for me such as csi -to be honest i never reallycared for this type of game before wii ,,
but now i can finally say that these games are worth my money ,all they need to make now is a xfiles remake ,, so hated the ps1version cause of it being like csi and being boring
excellent third party support more games avaliable -i dont care what people come to system wars haveto say ,,cause all the successful consoles had a bunch of bargin bin titles no one cared then they shouldnt bring it up 6 gens too late cause you know what i got a point,
since you allowed and bought nes games snes games ps1 games and ps2 games and never had a complaint about there being a bunch of shovel ware/bargin bin titles you basically told third party to continue to do it to the most succesful console, of any gen ,put number here
you dont get a right to tell others that wii sucks because of alot of new ips you never heard of ,, without petz dogs 2 with out games like zack and wiki wed be playing the same stuff we saw last gen look at 360 ps3 library they are just upgrades of the xbox gc library
xbox 360 pros\
good online /dlc you can download rugrats and other various tv shows and rent movies listen to your own music with a gigantic sized 250 gig hard drive or a mid sized 120 gig ,,, or an even smaller 60 gig for those who wont dl you can also get a 20 gig , ,\
plus now it allows mass storagedevices and also has memory cards ,of various sizes , you get a choice of what you want when youwant it , your not forced to have a 120 or 60 gig hard drive you have achoice
you can customize your face plates
and you want to go wired you can do that to ,,
you can choose to go wired or wireless with 360 vs having features thrown in regardless of whether or not you dont want them-ps3
and the controllers for wii and360 take aas so you can replace batterys 10 yrs down the road vs not being able to at all ps3
the bottom line if i were to buy consoles again 360 and wii would be my console of choice for the long run
360/PS3 Pros:
1. They have good graphics
2. They have good online services
3. They have extras like DVD/Blu-ray players
Wii Cons:
1. Lots of shovelware crap being made for it
2. Virtual Console games are overpriced
3. Should have given us the Motion + for free since they didnt include this at launch
Excuse me? I am trying to start a discussion and you're attacking me?[QUOTE="LastRambo341"][QUOTE="Shirokishi_"]
I know your a sheep so you feel inclined to defend the Wii full force but this topic wont take off if you intend to bombard everyone who mentions the Wii with questions.
So please...
Shirokishi_
Im not attacking, sorry if it came off that way.
Id like to leave my opinion at that.
Don't be sorry about it, you weren't attacking him at all
3 pros about the 360: (Not that I hate the 360, I love it, but it's the console I like the least.)
1. Tales of Vesperia
2. Larger online community, very few of my friends own PS3s, most of them only have 360s.
3. Achievements for every game. Since trophies were added long after the PS3's launch, there aren't trophies for every game. I can't get trophies for games like Sonic 06 or Tony Hawk's Project 8.
3 cons about the PS3:
1. No Tales of Vesperia.
2. Smaller online community.
3. Not every game has trophies.
Surprised to see positives for wii. I couldn't name 3 with being honest. I would say super mario galaxy, new super mario bros wii, and soon super mario galaxy 2. I really don't have alot of positives. Unlike many of you. Monster hunter 3 was not a great game from what I played. Nothing about the wii has been great for 3 years besides new super mario bros wii. Its online system is laggy and sucks. WiiWare is the weakest download system out of psn, xbla, steam, and wiiware. Friend System is terrible. They split the game base with 3 peripherals, and I bought more per hardware than any other console. Fact is the thing sucks.

A lot of "pros" for the 360 you have are kind of moot points and sound like you're just going out of your way to knock the PS3. We get it, you like 360 better. You don't have to go out of your way to trash the PS3 to prove why you like it better. :P
First off, I can't imagine anyone saying "NO!" to free wi-fi. If you've seen the price breakdown on manufacturing a PS3 you'd know that the wi-fi only costs $4 to put in. Beats the hell out of paying $100 for an adapter.
Secondly, I don't know when the last time you checked is, but AA batteries get expensive. Rechargeable batteries are your best bet. The lithium ion battery in the Dualshock 3 last for up to 5 years. And you know what else? You can STILL replace them! Yes, it's a little more difficult than on the 360, but you're only doing it once every 5 years. From what I heard Sony was putting together a service to do the battery replacements.
Your other points are fine. I'm just saying the point of this thread is to judge each platform independently on its own merits, not the typical "This SUCKS! Mine's BETTER!" responses we get on here. Hence the title, "Give credit where it's due." ;)
I like to speak my opinion when i want to, thanks.[QUOTE="Sandvichman"][QUOTE="Mario1331"]

I'll give cons for my 2 current gen consoles since I like them both: Wii Cons: Poor overall library. Motion doesn't work well most of the time. Too many controllers and accessories. Right now I have 2 Wiimotes, a Nunchuk, 2 CIassic pads, a Gamecube pad, a Mario Kart Wheel I threw away, and I may very well need to get Motion plus and even possibly a Balance Board at some point. Argh! 360 Cons: Paying for Live. D pad is broken. More 1st party/exclusive games might be nice? Can't really think of a 3rd con.locopatho
its a faulty system:)

O yeah true. My PS2, Wii and 360 all broke one time each though so to me it's not a 360 problem, more a problem with consoles in general.Surprised to see positives for wii. thats why u name cons for the console you like the most that was the point of the whole thread-_-
and truthfully your dislike for the wii sounds really serious for a piece of technology if you dont like it fine just dont bother to pay attention to it but no console is perfect even if it is a said"hardcore" console w.e that means

O yeah true. My PS2, Wii and 360 all broke one time each though so to me it's not a 360 problem, more a problem with consoles in general.your lucky my cousin 360 broke twice and this one has 2 red rings but hes getting it fixed as we speak i need to finish playing ME2
Ive got all three consoles, and 360 is my favorite, wii is my least favorite, and PS3 is close second to the 360.
360 Pros:
-Best controller layout, and very comfortable
-Awesome online features (ie: Cross Game Chat)
-Great Exclusives and multiplats run well on it
360 Cons:
-Have to pay for online service to play games online
-No built in WiFi
-Not as many exclusives, and shares its console exclusives with the PC
PS3 Pros:
-Bluray player, larger disc sizes for game content and great for movies
-Free online service
-Many top notch exclusive titles
PS3 Cons:
-Controller is dated and needs better trigger buttons, and over all a full redesign for comfort
-Online doesn't have the same features as XBL like cross game chat
-Constantly losing features with every firmware/hardware update
Wii Pros:
-Intuitive controller design for exclusive titles, versatile with add on accessories
-Awesome franchise exclusives like Metroid, Mario, and Zelda
-Small size, easy to transport around
Wii Cons:
-Not HD! This is a serious one in my part, it limits the game **** and gameplay also from the lack of hardware power
-Controller doesn't handle multiplat game layouts very well
-Shovelware out the ying yang, and very few 3rd party games that rock
Overall I had to cut down on the cons for the Wii because there are quite a lot of them, but Nintendo has done well by serving a dated console with current control methods, but its time for their next console, I do not think the wii can make a 10 year cycle like 360 and PS3 wish to have.
