Think about it. GOW1 was one of the greatest games of last gen. It innovated the action genre in ways that we have never seen. GOW2 took everything from GOW1 and improved on it, ten-fold. GOW2 was one of the greatest games ever made. I know that we have only seen that clip from E3, but I think that it is pretty safe to say that GOW3 will be even better, and be one of the greatest games ever made. The graphics will surpass anything ever made on a console, no doubt. It will be a system seller like we have never seen before, and will cause PS3 sells to sweep past the 360, and possibly the Wii.

Here are my prediction of how GOW 3 will turn out.

Its will stick to the god of war formula: intense action and story driven gameplay. There will be new gameplay mechanics, but overall gameplay wont change. Improved graphics, it will definately look nice. But ultimatel, GOW3 will suffer from the tragedy of all great series, it will have to trade innovation for consistent gameplay. There will be so much hype for this game that it'll be like Halo 3. Unless the developers will need to spend extra work to polish every aspect of this game, fans will complain at small defects.

all i know is that GOW3 has all the makings to be great.. the original was jaw-dropping at the time of release.. the sequel garnered AAA status on old tech while many people where already moving on to the "next-gen".. and the PSP version set a new bar for handheld graphics and kept true to the series.. now with the third incarnation, they've got new and more powerful hardware to work with and plenty of time to perfect their vision..

God of War 3 will be a monster.. period...

Well, I feel that the Baldur's Gate series was on par with, say, most things by Dickens, especially if you go down the evil path. Planescape: Torment was stellar in that regard as well.
