My sentiments exactly. I will be playing and enjoying both. Let's not forget Darksiders: Wrath of War either. Yet another action/adventure title that is looking pretty ace itself. 2010 is looking fantastic already.

For now I say GOW 3. Why? Because I have seen ONE video with some gameplay montage of DI anf guess what? GOW series has 2 games that pretty much speak for themselves.

Comparing a game that isn't out yet with a third installment of a series is stupid.

I doubt this. EA is very much in the red right now and can't shell out $50 million+ for a top tier budget game for a new IP. DI will be a great game no doubt but at this point it doesn't look like it's doing much new.

no, this not about ps3 or x360, this about a methology and which dev team will deliver, as i said DI have a uniqe story and enviroment that can break GOW into pecies if the dev made it right, and by the way Prototype sucks

People compared RE5 with Dead Space (also from Visceral Games), because both showed similar gameplay elements.

Um, no? But do you honestly think all games get the same budget? Besides an MMO getting a high budget doesn't seem unlikely. The revenue doesn't fade for an MMO after its release unlike regular retail games.

1st party exclusives tend to fair better against 3rd party contenders due to larger funding and moretime spent on just one console.

Don't forget Castlevania: Lords of Shadow. This game looks like it will be a close contender to Dante's Inferno & God of war 3 aswell. It may arrive a bit later but so far it looks amazing. And its castlevania!

Edit: GoW PSP got 8.5, but still its a very respectable score, and it is a handheld game :P

From what I have seen, both Castlevania and Dante don't hold a candle to GoW3. GoW3 just looks so much more polished, and exciting. I mean just looking at the E3 footage, you could see that GoW3 was going to be THE GAME (unless you are a fanboy :x) Dante's Inferno looks a lil weak. The combat looked "meh". I couldnt "feel" the action the same way I do for GoW. When Kratos attacks, you know **** is about to go down. On the other hand, in DI it felt lackluster. Castlevania looks better than DI but not as good as GoW3. Im telling you guys right now, its gonna go GoW3 (AAA) > Castlevania (AA) => Dante's Inferno (AA). II_Seraphim_II

Dante inferno looks (in my opinion) much better than GOW3 .... i know that most of you will say : Dante inferno is copying GOW series !! will there is nothing wrong with that if you can produce the same quality of GOW3 play type mixing it with a completly better stroy( Dante inferno story kicks GOWstory a$$), and from what we have seen Dante graphics are also better than GOW3 graphics (until now) ..... so what do you think, .... and please dont defend GOW3 just cuz its a PS3 exclusive.... i believe that Dante inferno will sell much more than GOW3...

The majority likes to support stagnation in this industry, so the poll leader is not surprising. Just the sad state of the industry. More Call of Duty and God of War!!!

Me, personally, I'm more excited to explore the 9 circles of hell for Dante's love. I've been Kratos and explored his world 3 times already. I think Dante's Inferno will have more more interesting environments to explore, though. Each circle of hell has a different theme and a diffferent environment, enemies, etc, etc, to match that theme.

I'll still get GoWIII, though! ;)

After watching that preview in its entireity, it's safe to say my expectations for Dante's INferno has skyrocketed.

Me too. When i first heard of it, having read Dantes Inferno, I was like this wont work. But it looks really fun. Plus, Dead Space is my favorite new IP this gen so im expecting nothing but the best from Visceral.

They look really similar to me. For me, it comes down to two things: one for each of them. In God of War 3, Kratos should die in the end. And not "die and then crawl out of Hades" like in the other games, I mean dead for real. If Dante's Inferno is a success, they'd better not do the same with Purgatorio and Paradiso.PannicAtack
