typical God of War bosses, they just stand there doing nothing, even tho he has a free hand not even attempting to smash the 4 players stabbing his bloody EYE! soapandbubbles
I imagine he is attempting to not have his head smashed into the concrete by holding himself back. There are plenty of bosses that are not even similat to this, such as Zeus and Hades.
Watched the video. You are right the Titan is a moron :P. But most bosses are no like that in GoW.
Not really liking the thought of MP in GOW but I will wait and see it first before judging.hiryu3Issue is, if it doesn't have MP, the game will be marked down..cause according to reviews now days games NEED the total package, expecially since GOW has been done to death (story-wise)

Is that an assumption or did they say the SP campaign would be shorter ?

they said it would be shorter, they also said that they're going all in with the SP and MP portions and pulling out all the stops for both. so its not like one section is getting half assed.

Sigh multiplayer... I finished GoW 3 in 10 hours so I'm hoping 'a little bit shorter' would still be a nice 9 1/2 hours.

I have a feeling it will be better than GOW III. In the 3rd one when I replayed it I had parts where I was like "Ugh not this part" where I never had it in 1 or 2. So hopefully ascension doesn't have those moments

What would you rather. An 8-10 hour campaign that has great pacing and continues to pull you into both combat or story or a 20 hour campaign full of filler to extend a game?they said it would be shorter, they also said that they're going all in with the SP and MP portions and pulling out all the stops for both. so its not like one section is getting half assed.

Chains of Olympus and Ghost of Sparta were shorter than the main games too, didn't really bother me that much as they were great from beginning to end.

The part I hated replaying the most was Hades on the hardest mode ... so tedious and dragged out. The rest were okay. What would you rather. Out of curiosity which parts are you refering to? I replayed it last week and basically enjoyed every second of it. Only thing I really hated was when you jump from the labyrinth to the three judges, mostly because I suck at it :P!I'm excited about GOW Ascension, but the MP just seems out of place to me. However that's not a big deal, I'm always willing to try new things and even if I end up not liking it, the SP will still be great no doubt.
Feels tact on, like assassins creed and dead space multiplayer. Meh. ninjapirate2000feels tact on? so you got a chance to play it
Confirmed at times you get to play as non ash Kratos
seanmcloughlin
The whole game should be non ash Kratos since Ares tricking Kratos into killing his family was what started God of War 1. I'm not sure how familiar you are with the God of War games but Kratos' white skin comes from the ashes of his dead wife and daughter. Even at the beginning of God of War 1, there are cutscenes that show Kratos with regular skin

Anyway I don't play god of war for the multiplayer. So meh I'm probably gonna ignore that portion of the game. Developers only tact on multiplayer to create more "value" and it ends up being ignored by the players 6 months down the line.

It was great for the most part though
Hmm, I have never played god of war even though I own a ps2 and ps3. This may be my first one to try something new.SonySmashBrosBR
You should get the HD collection, it's pretty cheap and has GOW 1 and 2 on it, plus it has trophies. It should give a good feel as to what GOW is like, and GOW3 it'self is pretty cheap too, I know it got Greatest Hits.

AC MP even though had some problems didint really feel that tact on. Dead space MP just sucked cause they handeled it wrong. All they had was 1 team alien 1 team human. They should have had some type of co-op mode where you and a friend or friends have to make it out alive against AI monsters.

Hmm, maybe we will play as other characters then? Otherwise he should have said "You will play as non ash Kratos". If Kratos does have ash skin then they will have really f'ed up with this being a prequel, just as God of War 1's ending makes absolutely no sense in relation to what ends up happening in the rest of the games
Todd Pappy actually mentioned Power Stone as a source of influence for the MP Dear God my excitement has increased 10 folds.

I'm sure there will be the first half as non ash and you will play out the parts where you attack the town and kill your family and then the second half will be playing as regular ash Kratos. or something like that, maybe through flashbacks? you never know
When Kratos opened Pandora's box he released more than just the power to kill a God, he released the evils that Zeus buried in them. The very evils that affected and caused a major change in his character from GoW1 to GoW2. It's all explain in GoW3
oh right you mean Kratos over-looking wars from different millenia. Well you see it was never planned to be an on-going franchise. That's why in the bonus features you see a video about modern times finding Cronos bones, and even though the game did say Kratos will return after the credits I believe Jaffe said in one interview that they didnt expect the game to succeed and continue on. But it did continue of course and for the most part the story is pretty coherent between the titles.

Yeah I'm aware that it wasn't initally planned as a series but many still overlook that in context, the first ending does not make sense, especially after how GoW3 ended

It's because the 3 different heads of the game made the games differently. What David Jaffe had planned for the overall arc of the story isn't what happened. He even said what he always wanted the end of the trilogy to be which was killing all the Gods in the first opening segments of GOW III then he wanted other Gods and deities to try come and take over Zeus slice of Earth which made Kratos have to fight them.
One Scenario he had was having the Sphynx in Egypt and actual boss and you petrify it with the Medusa head and that would explain why it was in stone in Egypt etc.
So the ideas changed a LOT with the different directors
