Massive fail on Sonys part. I was thinking about picking this game up, cause I've never played a GOW game before, but there's no way in hell I'm going through the hassle of importing it.

Have you ever imported a game? The claim that it's a hassle usually comes from people who never have. Personally I can't see how ordering a game like you would order anything else online and waiting for somebody to bring it to your door could be considered any form of trouble but that's just me.

Anyway, I don't get the panic in this thread.

Whoops. SCEE's just confirmed to VG247 that God of War I and II won't release for PS3 in Europe this year.

Said a rep in a statement: "We are currently looking into options to bring God of War I and II to SCEE consumers on PS3; however it will not be possible to release the games this calendar year. We will provide further information in due course."

I don't live in Europe, so I could care less. I don't even think I'll be getting the collection edition anyways. What's so special about the collectors edition?

English happened to evolve from these languages and you insult the rest of the "damn continent" because the company publishing this game is too lazy to localize it? How absolutely harebrained and absurd. I am embarrassed to be English now. We are already the scum of Europe by having high HIV, obesity and drinking rates, if not the highest, and now this.

Even though it's region free us Danes still have to pay VAT and pay for the customs so the game will probably still end up costing $60-70 which is really just a shame.. I dunno if other countries have it the same way ?danish-death

Just import it from the UK. Games are ridiculously cheap here compared to the rest of the EU. People joke about how the UK is like a third world shopping paradise in terms of video games for the rest of the EU.

Also just to let you know, the UK, we also speak English, and many European countries also have a decent proportion speaking english, so why not at least give us that???
