:? don't even joke about that. That would be awful, he hasn't got the lungs to roar like Kratos, but he does have a badass normal voice.
I still want Djimon Hounsou to do it
That or TC Carson himself, beef him up a LOT and shave his head :P
Well with Kratos being greek, I'm not so sure how well Carson would work out. Might have to get a first time, no namer, which surprisingly works out well a lot of the time.He IS greek but he's never done anything greek or acted greek (how does one even do that? :?) and Carson is already Kratos. Plus when I think of Kratos I think of a black dude.
Who should play Kratos? I'm seeing Randy Orton or The Rock. Tie it in with the WWE somehow, same demographic and would kind of get a pass for being just 'okay'.getyeryayasout
Good God no :?

I'm not following you. :( There have been pics of Kratos in a few GoW game cinematics pre ash covering. He's a caucassian. Well, more specifically a mediterranean, Spartan, Greek. C'mon man, this isn't rocket science. But if you want to think of him as a black guy, I suppose that's you prerogative.Saw 1 was the only good movie. The ending is slick.
They did a decent job of trying to string all the sequels together so it at least had a "cohesive" story unlike a lot of the horror movies that just keep pumping out unrelated sequels.
I would have thought that the 300 crew would've been a better decision. But I'm not going to condemn the Saw writing team. I always think of the Heath Ledger example. When I heard Heath Ledger was going to be the Joker I thought it was the worst possible choice. He hadn't really done anything up to that point. And look what happened.
The God of War story is good. Here's hoping the Saw guys don't ruin it.
[QUOTE="Capitan_Kid"]Are most of the saw movies good?clone01I actually enjoyed the first one. Number 2...tolerable. The rest, eh, not so much. Saw 3D is one of the most deplorable movies of the last couple of years.

I mean Carson could play him no problem as he does the voice already and you don't necessarily need someone who looks greek or acts greek cos Kratos himself doesn't. And A black guy could play him cos Kratos is pure white from the ash anyway but yeah before that in the origin story it would be a problem but if it meant a good movie then I wouldn't mind
When I said I think of a Black guy I didn't mean I think Kratos is Black, I just associate his voice with a black guy because well it IS a black guy doing it. I know he's actually a white dude

... Yeah I stopped right at the part where they mentioned it would be God of War.. The game has great BACKSTORY in that its the mythology, but the actual story is incredibly simplistic... sSubZerOo
The first game had a great story arc. After that it sort of became unfocused

Really, I find the main problem is that the protagonist is irredeemably repugnant.[QUOTE="sSubZerOo"]... Yeah I stopped right at the part where they mentioned it would be God of War.. It was a simple story of revenge to go after Ares, it was nothing overly unique outside of the setting.. Which I would agree I would love to see more Greek/Norse/Egyptian stories made..I'm not following you. :( There have been pics of Kratos in a few GoW game cinematics pre ash covering. Eh...I sort of see what you're saying, but still doesnt work in my mind. I mean, James Earl Jones voiced Darth Vader, but when the helmet finally came off, there wasnt JEJ there looking back at Luke. Carson voices Kratos, but he isn't Kratos. Kratos is greek, not African. His whole back story is being born, (fathered by Zeus and a mortal greek woman) and raised in Sparta...getting the "300" upbringing.Edit: And I'm still confused when you say he doesn't act Greek. What does that mean?

Really, I find the main problem is that the protagonist is irredeemably repugnant.Like I said the first game was good. Kratos wanted to kill himself and had some sort of depth to himself. After that he became a bit cartoony and overly violent

Yeah, Its pretty bad. And I'm a horror movie freak.[QUOTE="Ratchet_Fan8"]only saw1 was awesome, then it became a parody of itself.cfstar
Well if you think about it, that's the same as God of War.
The AEnima Is strong with this one[QUOTE="ispeakfact"]

He's looking for vengeance, not money.

Honestly it's not so much "vengeance" as it is "an excuse to murder anyone he doesn't like. Sometimes he doesn't even look for an excuse."[QUOTE="Slashless"][QUOTE="ispeakfact"]

Oh Snap! :P:lol: good one.
But I mean Greeks don't necessarily have any traits as such that you could put Carson in and have people go "Well he's not Greek" except for the black thing. Especially if we're talking Spartan/300 times I don't think it really matters. He wouldn't be totally out of place playing a greek warrior. I mean it IS fictional so I don't think we need continuity in some aspects.

Kratos kills stuff pointlessly because he has nothing to live for and the Gods won't let him die. He's also a warrior and a Spartan warrior at that. They are very violent individuals. Only GOW 1 though, the others are a bit over the top
Kratos doesn't pointlessly kill stuff ^. His missions is about vengeance and killing anything that stands in his way. It just so happened that a lot of creatures stood in his way. Ghost_702But he does. First game sure, stuff makes sense. But in the second and third games he isn't doing anything but going on a mindless killing spree.

Agreed.
Didn't these same aholes try to ruin the Castlevania movie too before it was (thankfully) put out of its misery?
Which actor has the body to play Kratos?
His physique is amazing and he needs to be portrayed by a man who looks like he could eat a nuclear bomb for breakfast, whipe out an alien civilization and kill a few gods with his bare hands.
The only actor that could do an adaquate job:

Well this movie is doomed offically. Might as well put GOW in the list to have one of the worst video game movies.

He's an irredeemable bastard, a whiny psychopath who has brought the majority of his misery upon himself by his own actions.
