@sargentd: yes, but you get what you paid for, its only $60 for the whole year and even that is too much. I hope sony puts out some decent games on it in the near future.

@blaznwiipspman1: what's messed up is the service wouldn't even be necessary if PS had BC with past gens. Literally 80% of the games on psnow are ps3 games, i guess this is Sony's alternative to not doing what Xbox is doing on BC. pay a sub to stream PS3 games instead of doing the BC *shrug* i'm just not a fan

@Pedro: most people would agree that side scroller 2d games, are not as popular with people as full block 3d games. The ps4 games, while you can download them are majority 2d side scrollers. So thats just objective fact right now, nothing was my opinion. Some people prefer playing 2d side scrollers with dated looking graphics posing as ps4 games and thats completely fine but thats not the majority of people.

The ps3 games and below are all streaming only. That is an inferior service due to lag and input delay. Aside from the fact those are all older games too.

There is no option to download the majority of the psnow games, like 60% of the games are only stream option.

Gamepass isn't just ps plus and games with gold on steroids....they put out new releases like outerworlds, even Microsoft flight simulator. Halo infinite is expected to drop. Aside from that there's alot of high quality block buster titles like forza, halo collection, star wars, etc etc

@blaznwiipspman1: Gamepass costs more per year($120 vs $60), requires another subscription to play online(add another $100, so $220/year vs $60), doesn't offer a streaming option for xbox, and has like 700 less games than psnow. Enjoy your sucky MS exclusives that no one wants to play. There are more higher rated games on psnow than on gamepass. Saying "Gamepass slaps psnow silly, makes it his bitch." shows your bias toward xbox.

What a biased post. You know that you have to buy ps+ to play online right ?? So thats $60 + $60 = 120 per year. Game pass ultimate gives you xbox live and gamepass service for $15/month or $180 an year. You pay more for better quality.

Most of those 700 games are super old, and you can only play them through streaming. So basically, its unplayable.

Sucky exclusives wow lol, you don't have a clue. If you saw gamepass, you might even faint. The ps exclusives outside of uncharted and tlou are pretty much barren.

Also gamepass slaps psnow, thats just the truth, not really bias.

@blaznwiipspman1: "You know that you have to buy ps+ to play online right ??"

No you don't need ps plus to play psnow games online. Reading your original post and your comments really makes me think you have no clue what either service offers, although you claim to have both. If you want to make a thread claiming you prefer gamepass games over psnow games, that'd make more sense. You are probably streaming over wifi, which you shouldn't. Streaming option is the future. Even MS gamepass is getting it. I believe Sony is using the same servers as MS gamepass will use, so they should stream the same.

you need ps+ to play online, end of story. I don't know about psnow games, whether you need ps+ or not, but that doesn't matter. I don't think anyone will buy a psnow and not buy the ps+ like you're claiming.

streaming option may or may not be the future, but right now it still sucks. And many people don't have a direct modem connection either. Regardless of gamepass getting streaming, I won't be using it.

What does shitpass have? Halo and gears. Everything else is garbage, and half the Halo and Gears games suck.

You did an excellent job parading your ignorance in just two sentences. That is amazing. Keep up the good work.

Lol fanboys and girls arguing about subscription services. I hate them both. Pretty soon our internet service will go up and we already have to pay in some states unlimited for date use and now just imagine to download a game that’s 4k or even stream, how much data it uses and lets not forget other streaming services we use every day to watch tv or spending time on cellphones. There is no difference between the 2 and only reason MS puts there crappy exclusive on gamepass 1st day is because they don’t have a choice otherwise there library of games would suck

Started PS Now a month or so ago. It‘s fine for my current needs. Played Abzu and then took a nostalgia trip in God of War 3 remastered. Now I started playing Days Gone. All games are downloadable.

I dunno, to each his own.

If you wanna play the latest AAA games it is not a good service obviously. I don’t do that anyway because of the pricing. One AAA game costs the equivalent of 8 months PS NOW.

Gamepass is much better as it works on PC also. This is something Sony simply cannot compete with. It is what it is.

It's pretty bad - that being said, play "Puppeteer" before you cancel.

They're both good depending on what games you like, I like PSNow a little bit more because of the Infamous series and some other Playstation classics.

Gamepass was good, I played the entire Gears series and the entire Metro series, then I ran out of things I wanted to play.

Kudos to Xbox for BC, it really is a credit to their platform. Also kudos for investing heavily in Gamepass, they're putting money into it and it shows.

PSNow is more low-key, but it's great value for what it is. 800+ games, the older PS3 games are streaming, the PS4 games are downloadable. It's also $5 cheaper than Gamepass.

More games for cheaper.

Especially if you have a solid internet connection, PS Now wins.

If your internet connection is shit or if you want to play on PC, then Gamepass is for you.

PS - You don't have to pay for PS+ to play online with PS Now.
