Gotta Admit.. Sony has 2008 WON Already!!

No matter which console you favor the most you have to admit that PS3's future looks so much more brighter. I mean think about it for a second.. What does MS have lined up for 2008... umm Alan Wake and possibly Too human, and for the Wii?! Cant even think of any 08 titles coming out for the Wii. Now lets look at Sony's 2008 game line up...

1.MGS4

2.Final Fantasy 13

3.Gran turismo 5

4.Killzone

5.Tekken

I admit the 360 definitly has this year won, but next year its sony's year hands down!!

Both Nintendo and MS have already announced absolutely every game that will ever be developed/released for each system. :|

Side-note: I wouldn't hold my breath for FFXIII outside of Japan in 2008, unless you have some confirmation.

I think those 5 games are enough to purchase a PS3 especially since they are major franchises. Considering the cost of developing videogames, and even the length; these 5 are definitely good games without question. I am certainly looking for a Xbox 360 at the moment. But next year is very promising to sony fans.

Not Yet.

PS3 has had those games as it's must have games since it's announcement in 2005. Most 360 must haves that have been announced in 2005 wil be out by the end of this year. The next wave of new games to hype for 360 wil hopefully be announced at TGS 07. The only reason the 360 line up for 08 looks bleak is because there have not been any new announcements since 2006.

That does not mean they are not coming. :|

SOny and MS only have control over their 1st party games. Sony announced HS, Lair and other for 07 releases and they are coming in 07. MGS 4 and FFXIII chosing 08 has nothing to do with SOny.

Gears can't win '07 GOTY. It came out in '06.

And Oblivion isn't 360 exclusive. Though while the PS3 version didn't come out until '07, the PC version was there along with the 360 one. So, the 360 can't take all the credit for having 2006 GOTY.

All I see are the same games barring the typical sequels that Sony desperately needs to sell well. For a thought, the novelty of having the 13th installment of FF isn't as great as it was years ago with its pervious titles.

Other games like Blue Dragon and Eternel Sonataon the opposing console have done outstanding well, despite the fact that they are new intellectual properties by the advent ofanew franchises

The real sales aren't in the "exclusive"titles, but in multiple platforms. Metal Gear 4and Final Fantasy 13 is a small reason to continue the support of a generic system like the PS3. Gran Turismo 5 though faces a problem. Because racings titles have been improving in all forms over the years, GT only succeeds by ofa loyalty to what the fans can give, and not by the misconception of it being what many fans arguing as a true racing simulation.

Every new Final Fantasy game is a brand new game. It's only the title that's the same and some references. And please, don't compare Blue Dragon and Sonata to FFXIII. They aren't even in the same league. Gran Turismo have been improving greatly over the years and GT5 looks alomst phot-realistic so there goes that argument. Games like FFXIII,MGS4,GT5 have bigger impact on the console than you might think. Just MGS4 and XIII is enough to get most Japanese gamers to pick up the PS3.
