I would love to see Deus Ex: Human Revolution get GOTY, it deserves it. Eidos Montreal deserves the best studio award for creating such an amazing game, and it was their first game!

Reason I didn't include it in the GOTY list was because it got a 8.5. Underrated for sure.

So far I think XenoBlade is better then Skyrim. But my choice would be Portal 2.

Witcher 2 > Skyrim SAGE_OF_FIRE

TW2 >>>>>>>>>>>> Skyrim.

But TW2 wont get any GOTY awards because its not an overhyped console game. Id be surprised if it even gets RPG of the year.

I dont think the Witcher 2 is better, but I dont think its underrated either. The only issue with Skyrim is that it has more bugs than Witcher 2. Witcher 2 also has a more exciting combat system though the one in skyrim is more varied.

A game with the graphics of the witcher 2, combat mechanics pf Dark Souls, presentation values and open-endedness (not sure if that's right wording) of Skyrim would be the best RPG ever made in my honest opinion.

I really would feel surprised when UC3 would win GOTY. I can't even finish the game :s. Uncharted 2 is one of my favorite games this generation ... but 3? I really hate alot about it... and that's weird cause the gameplay mechanics haven't changed too much

For meTW2 isthe absolute obvious choice,superb game.

But game sites cost a lot of money to run so they're probably gonna give the award to a overhyped,super expensive block buster console game with ads on cheese burgers and what not. Just to keep the fans happy and returning to the site.

i agree, how can a game you can never complete not win GOTY, in skyrim each factions radiant quests juat keep regenerating meaning you can never reach a point in the game where you have completed every quests, thats amazing if you ak me.delta3074

(But seriously, Arkham City didn't live up to the hype either...it was to short)

It's between Skyrim, Batman Arkham City, Deus Ex, The Witcher 2 and Dark Souls. My personal GOTY is The Witcher 2, but I'm almost certain Dark Souls will take it. It IS the only 9.5 game this year(Gears of War 3 doesnt really count).

really then why did gears 3 get the same review as resistance 3? and why did everyone call gears 2 inferior to 1 i believe i get that game

It's all moot at this point; Gears of War 3 has the GS GOTY on lock. :o :P
