Blur is hard to notice unless you're looking down on the road at your side.

Beyond that, I don't know. Years ago, I did close to 150 mph on a straight line. I didn't notice any blur on normal viewing distance.

The only other thing I can think off is the whole scene is speeded up just like this freeway video I speeded up. So, no blur:

the idea behind blur is related to what your eyes and brain do in real life as you drive faster and faster - you tend to look further and further down the road simply because you're covering too much ground to do anything else, creating a kind of "vision cone" where your vision focus is centered way further down

your eyes already do that when playing racing games, so blur really isn't needed

[QUOTE="RABicle"]How can people call GT5 a sim when you can't even flip the car?ktrotter11
how does flipping a car make it a sim, thats like saying cod and halo aren't shooter's cus u cant put the bullets in the clip individually

it's not unprecedented

Because simulators SIMULATE real life, and you can flip a car in REAL LIFE. ... Besides, Halo and Call of Duty aren't war-SIMS.

You can also jump out of the car at 200mph and roll into oncoming traffic in real life. Wonder when that'll get put in?

I don't see the point of damage. You're not supposed to crash anyway. Crash damage will make online much worse than it already is because there will be losers with very short attention spans that want to crash into everyone just to see what happens. Maybe it's good for punishing wall riders and such but for the most part you'll be getting rammed into walls while watching your bumper fly off into the distance. If I want a good race I'll have to do the expert series where the pros go and I'll get pwned because I don't know what the heck a camber angle is!!

That brings me to what I hate about GT. If I have to go on the internet and do research on camber, toe angles and other confusing things just to get a decent tuned car, I'm no longer playing - I'm working. Sorry but that's not what I want to do with my downtime. And a little stringy explanation that I have to sit and wait to read in it's entirety is just not enough. So either I stay on my level and get ramed into the sand and not have fun or get completely whipped by pros and not have fun. Decisions decisions!! Oh I could just race in single player! Oh wait the AI follows this line and if I cross it I'll get rammed into the sand anyway... Because if you notice, cars in GT never overtake or hit each other unless you do something to start it. And even if the AI does get knocked off track they get some BS 4WD mode that lets them tear through the sand like nothing happened!! That's proof btw that the AI is running on a motion path.

GT is a good game to be played with friends but I don't know anyone that has it so I find myself overall not enjoying the game at all.

Another thing I don't get is these Forza vs. GT rants. Have any of these people even been in a real racing car? How exactly do these people know what they're talking about

Its a racing game. Of course its boring. Every racing game I have ever played is boring. Having said that, GT is the best of the racing games.

No doubt I'll try this at a friends. But I'm loving Forza 3 at the moment, that game can be deep!
