I never believed otherwise.
Polyphony does TWO GT's every console gen, and prologue was right on time (They have done plenty of Concept/Demo's/Prologues in Japan, they are just new in America).
That other timetable was rediculous. Poly wouldn't have gotten another GT out in time for PS3, otherwise.
PS1 = GT, and GT2
PS2 = GT3, and GT4
PS3 = GT5, and GT6
As far as sticking to GT5 this entire Generation, and coasting on it, I realize that that is certainly an option in this digital day and age, but I know that Sony realizes the amazing Potential impact of a GT6 at retail, so I see them sticking to it.Â
There are many customers that just don't go online, and the Powerful Sales Presence will certainly help the PS3 in the eyes of consumers, especially, offline ones, as of April this year, that series alone has sold over 50 million units, that's just to large a demographic to ignore.
The Question is, what would a GT6 offer over a GT5? That's up to the brilliant Kazunori Yamauchi and Polyphony Digital to figure out.
Besides, Polyphony isn't going to sit on their collective bums pumping out DLC the rest of this generation.
