also the most popular genres are action, FPS, adventure, and RPG

no way a racing game will save any console ever...

even though GT series is incredible its still just a racer all you do is drive a car around a track...

Yeah, a price cut would help tons $500 looks a lot better than $600. And I agree on the advertising. WTF is up with it lol. I don't get it. I don't know if anyone else gets it. THey just look at it and you can see big question marks pop up over their heads.

Well its just one of plenty ps3 exclusives that will help sell ps3's. Gran Turismo is one of the top selling games of all time, so u can be sure that one game alone will move units.

How is it overrated? I mean the franchise has sold over 40 something million + copies from the GT series. Just because one game gives u customization and all doesnt mean GT is overrated, it has never been a flop and the creators have a great track record, not only that but the game is already named the greatest game of its kind of all time, so it cant be an overrated game.

-Ninja Gaiden Sigma Iffy, it is a 3 year old port. Plus the NG games aren't exactly casual friendly.

-Little big Planet Should sell, but if it is download-only it may not be marketed well enough to make a difference.

-Haze All 7 days of exclusivity?

-Home I doubt it, I just don't see people wanting to play a watered down Second Life, especially when they just spent $600 on a PS3.

-Motorstorm 1 & 2 I don't know the numbers but I don't think Motorstorm sold well at all (I could be completely wrong there) but Motorstorm 2 could be great if they actually put some effort into it.

-Heavenly Sword Looks promising, but the developer doesn't have much of a track record. This game reeks of Killzone 1. But as I said, it does look promising.

-Warhawk I've heard mixed things about the beta, but if it does work out then it should help sales.

i agree with everything you say. Though these are just games and tools that will convince some individuals to buy one if they turn out to live up to the hype. Multi plats like Haze can help in combination with exclusives ....

I think Halo CE has been thenearest to that title.

I still believe without Halo CE on launch of Xbox it would have been a massive flop in the end the Xbox was a great stepping stone for MS into the console industry.

Nah... People constantly talk about GT3's sales for the PS2 assuming that it was GT3 being bundled with the PS2 that sold PS2's.... When in fact it was the PS2 that sold GT3's. Racing is a niche genre - always have been, always will be. One of the larger niches, yes, but still a niche.AfterShafter

The masses dont buy a system for a racing game... they buy a racing game on whichever console they own, in which case forza = fresh while GT = stales... Why wait when you can be playing now if racing is your thing? It will be pretty easy for GT to come out 2 years late ripping all the features like the auction house, and paint editor right off of forza 2.
