I disagree, most people i would recon who want GT5 would have already bought the PS3 for GT5 prologue, i don't think GT5 (the full game) will be a big system seller due to this.

Not necessarily. It's quite amazing that Prologue sold as well as it did considering it's aa beefed up demo. GTalways sells like crazy, I predict GT5 (final version) to sell well into 4-5 million and beyond.

I have no idea matey, all i was saying was, due to GT5p being out already the hardcore GT5 nuts will have already got the system for that, as such GT5 may not be as big a system seller as people may expect.

Remember, the GT series has sold over 50 million copies so far. There are only 5 full games in the series so far.

GT3: As of April 30, 2008, the game has shipped 1.89 million copies in Japan, 7.14 million in North America, 5.85 million in Europe, and 10,000 in Southeast Asia for a total of 14.89 million copies.

Kaz just said that we would be seeing it before 2 years, which can be anytime between now and October 2010. Also games are pushed back all the time MGS4/konami was even as bold to change their trailer and cross out 2008 and add 2007 in its place, only to be delayed to 2008.

Gran turismo obliterates metal gear solid itself sales wise. Of course it gt4 sold more than gow2, maybe there's a 5 or 6 million gap I duno.

No, sorry man...You will see it in the full version for sure.

Porsche (that's right… Porsche) have stated that they do not have a problem with their cars being damaged in the game. Ferrari, however, are being more stubborn and could be a source of delay in damage implementation. Of course, that isn't consistent with Forza or Ferrari Challenge, which has shown damage on the Italian cars for some time now.

I like how in your title you get all excited and finish it off with "PROVES IT!" like you've won some great victory.

Reality is you've been waiting far to long for it and unless it ships with a genuin gold plated car it wont have met my expectations of a game with this much dev time, if the Forza crew can spit out 2 high quality games that match what there offering (and they do match, each has some advantages over the other, which is silly considering Forza 2 has been out for ages, you'd think GT would be far superior) then theres no reason they shouldn't be able to.

This is what annoys the hell out of me with most big hitting PS3 games, they seem to take to bloody long to make when the rivals are pumping them out at the same quality and faster.

And Polyphony are much better at making racing games than SK are at genre-blending, console-jumping games.

GT4 was better than Forza 1 IMO. I think the tracks in Gran Turismo are much better.

If their usual development mantra still rings true then many years in the making = more cars and tracks and odd, trivial additions, like GTTV for instance. And little else.
