Man I wish I would've read this before I bought GT6 yesterday. I'm a diehard Forza fan, but I bought a PS3 last year and picked up GT5 to try it out. It was pretty pathetic, from the poor menu system, awkward music and horrible car and collision sounds. GT6 has improved only slightly in menu design and load times, but very little else. Forza not only looks and sounds better but also functions better in every way.

No! Bad! Don't bump old threads.

Your right about Forza 4 being a great game I loved it. The only problems with GT6 are the damage system vs Forza and the sound. On GT6 you get way more tracks and you get time of day and weather making the tracks list even better. The car list is also insane. The graphics I give GT6 a small edge but many cars in GT6 are not of the same quality. The auction house and the rice factor on Forza 4 also is good if your into that.

Still when I do actual racing on GT6 the physics are much better. The force feed back on GT6 is also better vs Forza 4. The online racing I give Forza 4 a slight edge as it has the ability to see more details about the room before you race and the skill level match making system.

I have bad news I played Forza 5 no wheel as the old wheels no longer work and is was a shadow of Forza 4's greatness. The graphics of course were better but they claimed they laser scanned the tracks and that was total bs. For example the Laguna Seca track on Forza 4 was missing the red apex markers. Guess what they are still missing in Forza 5. The car and track list was also horrible. The auction house is also gone. While Forza 5 looks good at first glance my brother says already he is bored as he has to race the same tracks over and over in the same conditions.

You will never be bored with GT6 if your into sim racing. A word of advice with out the aids GT6 is not as forgiving as Forza 4. Also get a wheel cars like the Red Bull are almost unusable with a gamepad.
