Gran Turismo games is out selling Forza games in this gen!

In way back to year 2005, did u know Gran Turismo 4 had dominated first Forza Motorsport sales.

Here is my report about why does Gran Turismo running over Forza sales in this gen.

From now on: Gran Turismo sales in this gen:

GT5 Prologue sold 4.95 million units

GT PSP sold 1.96 million units

Total: 6.91 million units sold.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Forza sales in this gen:

Forza Motorsport 2 sold 2.67 million units

Forza Motorsport 3 sold 2 million units

Total: 4.67 million units sold.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

6.91 million units VS 4.67 million units.

P.S do not bother me about the sales, but just let u know about this data, as i find sales data on wikipedia.

Forza has outscored GT since Forza has been around though bud, so even if Forza3 does outscore GT5 I dont see it being a huge deal, as Forza has out scored GT games in the past.

Love both series to be honest, Forza has really surprised me with its gameplay. I never thought Forza woudl be half as good as it is

Are those figures for Prologue and GT PSP accurate? thats shocking if true and just proves how many people just blindly follow a brand name even when there is better available (this is in no way bad mouthing GT 1-5 because they are quality games).

I would call you heaps of stuff if there was no risk of moderation. What difference does it make if he hasn't played either of the games? TC's just commenting on how GT is outselling Forza, not which one he thinks is better.

the only thing I could find on forza 3 sales was vgchartz and I know they aren't the most accurate but they are not too far off usually either and they say that 3 sold more than 2 mil after 20 weeks. Like I said accuracy but I think these forza numbers are under what might be true. Ok I looked around more and it is mentioned here that is sold 2 mil back in february.

Every GT game sold better than any Xbox 360 game. And the franchise has topped a total of 55 million sold worldwide. How is that not more profitable than Halo?

A demo (Prologue) outsold expansion pack (ODST). :P At least according to the numbers I can find. They're pretty outdated. Where do you guys find these numbers? Genuine question.hexashadow13

Failing that NPD for the US, Media Create or Famitsu for Japan and Gfk-ChartTrack for Europe. ELSPA (now UKIE) used to give sales awards for games in the UK as well, which would give rough estimations for LTD e.g. >200k etc.
