Update:#1 in the opening weekend!

Wow, look at that 98% audience score! Will you be checking this out, SW?
Didn't expect this. A solid red tomato? I expected it to be rotten, I am surprised to see many of the critics enjoyed it.
Still waiting for it to hit the streaming services.
I like the actors in this movie but yeah, this is something I can wait till it comes to VoD.
Of course the audience reviews will be 98%.
I bet those are the same people that made excuses for GT7's horrendous microtransactions and unnecessary prices and grinding.
Don't trust gamer fanboys when it comes to movies. Most of them probably don't even watch movies to the level to appreciate the craft behind them. They just want game movies to make money so they can rub it in to their fanboy adversaries.

The Super Mario Bros Movie had a 59% RT, but 95% user score. @mesome713 was all over that user score.
Have absolutely zero interest in this regardless of the reviews it gets.
if this was Forza Motorsport the movie you would be DM'ing Phil on Twitter with a picture of yourself at the premiere 😎
I never trust user reviews for stuff like this. Too many fanboys with 100's of fake accounts to make the score even close to legit. I'm thinking the citric score is more accurate. Personally, I haven't liked what I've seen in previews, so I'll probably skip seeing it.
@SolidGame_basic: Of course I........
......wouldn’t. 😅
Same thing would apply. Zero interest in a Forza movie as well. Love the games but not my thing for the type of movies I enjoy. 🤷♂️

^this. It would be cheesy and bad like this movie.

Watch Ford v Ferrari y'all. That movie you at least won't question your life priorities like a video game movie would.

That’s a great non-video game movie. Loved it.

Rotten Tomatoes user scores are reliable. Only verified users who've watched the movie are allowed to vote. It's not like Metacritic, which can be spammed by bots. RT has a strict policy to only show verified user scores from people who've seen the movie.
I have been saying this for a while now.
But I do have a hunch that movie directors are finally learning how to make good video game adaptations. Detective Pikachu, Sonic, Sonic 2, Mario, Angry Birds 2, Werewolves within, Super Mario Bros and now Gran Turismo.
Well, I wouldn't call Mario Movie good, but a lot of people seemed to like it.
@jaydan: "Watch Ford v Ferrari if you want a cool car movie."
☝️this!
If you haven't, go check out Need for Speed movie. It didn't take itself seriously and it was better than F&F IMO.
Take a seat, Davillain.
You don't go from recommending Ford v Ferrari to talking about a Need for Speed movie.
That's like going from playing your favorite arcade game to being disgusted by a massive shitty diaper that a parent left on the arcade stool next to you.
That is the best I can describe my reaction to your post, Dav.
Watch Ford v Ferrari if you have not already.

Mario Movie is a kids movie, so the bar was a lot lower lol.
Sony hasn't missed yet with their TV shows. Will definitely watch this.
It's funny you say that. I was watching something w/ the wife last night. Turned out to be a good show! Was surprised when I saw the Sony logo.
Can't recall what it was for the life of me. Afterparty, maybe?
Now that this movie flopped, anyone think Sony will hang it up for game movies?
@jaydan: Need for Speed>Ford v Ferrari😎
I hope you were drunk when you posted that.
‘Gran Turismo’ Revs To $1.4M In Thursday Previews – Box Office
The Rotten Tomatoes critics score is now 60% fresh on Gran Turismo, however, audiences love it: Comscore/Screen Engine Postrak exits show 5 stars for general audiences, five stars from parents and 4 1/2 from kids under 12. Thursday audience saw 87% general audience, 6% parent and 7% kids. Guy leaning at 68% yesterday with the 18-34 set at 50%. Guys over 25 (46%) and women over 25 (22%) were the leading demos and respectively gave the pic its best scores of 90% and 96%. Gran Turismo before P&A cost $60M.
...So much for mesome's wild conspiracy theory about Sony buying out verified user scores on Rotten Tomatoes. Independent audience surveys from PostTrak show the same thing: very high ratings from audiences.
Watch Ford v Ferrari if you want a cool car movie.
The people who are interested in the above-mentioned swill aren't going to watch something with actual history like Ford v Ferrari. Ken Miles, GT40, etc.., IMO.
