Forza has continually been in a free fall on metacritic. It would be unwise to think it cannot be beaten at some point.

@Shewgenja: Both Forza and GT have the same problem: What do you do after more than 5 iterations on the same game? It isn't like GT is going to magically get better because Forza has gotten worse. That said, I'd rather play Forza or GT than pretty much any other racer on the consoles.

We're talking about a sport that is as old as British Racing Green. The love for these games runs deeper than features and buttons. However, this will be a Virtual Reality title. Hard to say it's not breaking new ground, all the same.

I loved the franchise a long time ago. But since the ps3 it went to shit. They FINALLY cut down the number of cars and yet the game's sounds and models don't excet anything.

But i guess VR is sacrifice for exclusives. 2D trees though? Really?

While ND improve with each game, the likes of Halo and GT keep getting worse (well, atleast Halo did something abit different)

I guess you could try F1 games, Moto GP games or the Dirt games to keep it fresh.

Pcars and Asserto where kind of too much for me.

I'm still on the fence about all of the VR stuff but if it's anything that would get me into it, it would be a GT game. Racers are kind of a no-brainer for that tech.

There's always the possibility that the foliage gets upgraded as a final optimization. I know I wouldn't dump any memory allocation into it until I knew what I could budget for far more important things. Besides, where was the protest when Forza almost literally copy/pasta'd the crowds from PS2 era games?

All I want to know.

Bring up Forza is stupid though. Turn 10 re-releases the game every 2 years and improves with each new itteration. in each gen.

F5 was step down from F4, but it was also a rebuild for teh xbone. F6, from what i've read, is much better.

Plus, there's Forza Horizon whcih also improved in it's sequel.

GT as been in a downspiral and the new trailer doesn't insipire confidence, specially sicne Eurogamer said the game's engine sounds are still bad. A major point of criticism for GT5-6

Fantastic news that in a few months, Forza Motorsport 6 might have some competition. Competition is great and I hope this game does well.

I used to be a GT fan when I owned a PS2, then I jumped ship to Forza and never looked back. It was actually because of GT that I became interested in Forza. It will be nice seeing how this series will be like today. Looking forward to its release.

Forza will never be beaten i mostly play it on PC nothing comes close to it and i played lot of car racing games.

I hated the GT6 UI and the way it would install updates. GT5 took forever to come out and it still was incomplete. I still enjoyed both but I'm gonna have to wait a little longer to see if it'll be worth it and major changes have occurred.

I'm glad to see PD have learned to develop games in a reasonable time, and I am glad to see Sony finally have a holiday title, but... it doesn't inspire confidence so far.

The ps4 would have the best racer on top of everything else.

It would be a slap in the face to every xb1 owner if sony comes out with a better game than forza.

But knowing sony it looks like that could happen these people have been pushing gaming forward while microsoft got fat and lazy.
