My point exactly.
its an effect when two polygons are parrallel and so close or intersecting that the rendering engine is having a hardtime figuring out which one shold be rendered on top of the other. As a result the polygons will swapping between each other and create a flashing effect.
notice how the red and blue planes have similar cords, and as a result fight with each other to appear on top of the other.
I think I know what you mean now... thanx man.

Can anyone provide a picture of what "pop-in" looks like or tell me what it is? I heard of this term before.
As for graphical glitches that I find annoying, it is either screen tearing or interlacing.

Here's a pretty extreme example from RAGE.
Thanks. That is what I am thinking of.[QUOTE="super600"]You mean the thing that's present in all wii games? :|Jaggies.
parkurtommo
what are jaggies? i play on the 360... where jaggies don't exist.
really hate games with poor draw distance but ironically I still like Yakuza 3 & 4. You know what it is that you're going around the city looking for something and you have to walk all the way through to see everything? I remember going crazy because I couldn't find certain NPC to start a side-quest even though he was almost in front of me but because of the poor draw distance I couldn't see him (so I had to get very close for him to be visible)! And this happens frequently like in the old days of the PS1....
I hope they fix that crap for Yakuza 5 since it's built on a new Engine and it uses MLAA and stuff (old engine didn't even had any AA so the games were a brutal jaggie mess and on top of it sub-HD).

Ah, yes, z axis fighting! I know what you mean. I see that in Skyrim quite a bit.when a game has issues loading it self and it looks like playdough
and same as you i hate my characters crap glitching and doing through itself.

Too bad this is a common problem on the consoles.
The most common ones are all about as annoying as each other, although framerate is probably worse as it effects gameplay aswell. The dayz one is probably the worst i've experienced this gen; where the game is literally unplayable if you look in a certain direction, though it seems to have stopped now. Other than that getting stuck in poorly designed terrain is probably the other one, which has happened a couple times in Skyrim/Fallout 3/Borderlands or clipping through terrain which Saints Row is pretty bad for.
