in still shots, i think gears 2 looks better. but in movement and with lighting and other effects, I think mgs4 has the edge.
environmental textures, gears 2 wins
Gears 2 looks better overall, but MGS4's character models are simply incredible.Gamer4IifeYeah. I have to give MGS4 credit for its character models as well.
[QUOTE="II_Seraphim_II"]Gears 2 is better graphically, but MGS4 has better production values.ZimpanX
Gears 2 seriously beats it hard. So much more detailed in textures, lighting, and everything. We've already had a poll for this, though... and Gears 2 won.BioShockOwnzlol, you haven't played the game....or atleast be less bias towards the 360. the FACT IS. MGS4 has better looking and sharper character models with less to NO jaggies. Gears 2 has better looking environments and textures.
[QUOTE="djsifer01"]MGS4 hands down. To many jaggies in gears 2 it dose look good though.TX360jaggies? what jaggies Gears 2 is hands down the better looking game 360 POWER!! the game has quite a bit of jaggies and low rez textures, more so than the first....so the other things in gears 2 can be bumped up.

I'm not sure. Gears 2 has some nicer textures, but MGS4's characters look a lot better, both in terms of detail and movement. thetruespinThat's exactly what I was going to say. I think MGS4 beats it out by a little. Also because Gears is a little blurry in some parts. Not motion blur, just blurry

It's called depth of field, not "blurry".

I'm not talking about depth of field, i'm talking about the everything on the screen being blurrySounds like your tv's half*****. I recommend picking up another set, because mine's crystal clear. It shouldn't be "blurry", especially the whole screen. That's your tv's problem.
