Yeah wavebird is right casuals could care less about graphics.My dad is what you would call a "casual" gamer and he thinks Wii graphics look as good as PS3/360 graphics,but that's just what I have experienced it may differ in some cases.

There are plenty games for old systems. More games than I could ever afford. Enough to provide me with "new" games to me for the next however many years. Graphics is the deciding factor, for me anyway, when buying a system. Games are going to be there. Having a powerful system that can run the UT engine for example, is what makes me spend the extra however many dollars for that system.

Go watch MTV and see a clip of Chris Brown talking about his most favourite game GTA. He says one of the reasons why he likes it are "great graphics" :roll:

Also, I mix with the casual crowd. All my friends are casuals. The boys just won't stop talking about the graphics on the PS3 or 360. Sure, games like WoW are an exception to the rule, but to outright say that they don't care about graphics is actually pretty stupid.

Oh man, I don't usually claim ownage but wow. This guy is right. Last time around I was going blue in the face trying to explain to some casuals why Halo was not possible on PS2.

P.S...I mean Halo in it's exact form on the Xbox and not a watered down version.

Graphics are the first thing we notice but the last thing we remember after we've played it.
I'm a designer, aesthetics are VERY important to me, but that doesn't necessarily mean that something that is simple is bad. That is the biggest mistake people make when it comea to visuals.Svarthek

Good point, I guess. I just don't care aboutgraphics or power at all. The only reason I'm still in for this gen is the Wii. Games can look prettier and have more space each gen, but the things that are really new and exciting....we have to treasure them more, because there aren't many.
