Not including PC (Since PC gens are different) 1. Doom 3 2. Splinter Cell Chaos Theory 3. Resident Evil 4 I haven't played Chronicals of Riddick But I have played pretty much every other Graphically acclaimed game of last gen and the three above stand well above the rest.
Toughie, I'll do consoles first, I think RE4 on Gamecube, Chronicles of Riddick on Xbox, and God of War/MGS3 on PS2.
For PC definitely Half Life2, I'm sure there are better looking games but I can't play them on my PC =p, plus the detail in HL if amazing, and the fact that it actually runs on my computer and looks great (my computer has a 64mb graphics card) shows how good Valve are at optimizing.

LoL, FFX is so Ugly! FFX-2 isn't all that much better either. Haven't seen much of FFXII but from what I have, I'd say "nah". Only a predominately PS2 gamer (This could be either a fanboy or someone who is just ignorant) would claim a PS2 game to be the best looking game of last gen, the system just didn't have enough grunt.

I don't get why people seem to think NGB is so pretty. The visuals are very clean and the animations rock, But if you think about it clean graphics is just another way of saying the level of detail is a lot less then what the technology can really do.

So what you're saying is, you've never touched a PS2, let alone FFX-XII?
