Even the Green Targeting Reticle looks low Resolution, and the HUD is not properly AA.

It's good looking for a PS2/Wii/GC/Xbox/PSP game, sure, but no where near being CONSOLE GRAPHICS KING (PS3, 360, or Wii).

I would think that a Wii only gamer would be way more impressed with the graphics, since they aren't accustomed to many games wowing them, but they aren't into graphics, so this would be a nice surprise?...

I'm trying here, what I can tell you is that although I will be buying this day one, I never thought once that this was a "Looker", or Graphics king. SSBB has just as good graphics if you ask me.

Actually, that's a common misconception. Cell-shading is harder to do that standard 3D graphics.

Dude I own a Wii and 15 games (19 if you count ones I've traded in but beaten) for it and had it since launch and have no plans to sell it, considering how full of win 2010 Wii lineup is. But Metorid: Other M is not a good looking game, its art style is bland and the techinical graphics from the screenshots look no better than Resident Evil 4 on the GC, seriously go play it and you'll see, but by the sound of it you skipped last gen and totally have no idea what a last gen game looks like if you think this is a fantasic looking game.

Dude I own a Wii and 15 games (19 if you count ones I've traded in but beaten) for it and had it since launch and have no plans to sell it, considering how full of win 2010 Wii lineup is. Demon Blade is my personally graphic king for the Wii. Monster Hunter 3 also looks pretty good too

Honestly I think that Metroid Other M looks very vibrant and much more exciting both graphics and game play wise than the Prime series. How in the world did Red Steel 2 even get involved in this conversation, 2 way different goals in terms of style. Monster Hunter 3 is king by the way ;)

Between 1:30 and 2:00 or so there's so solid gameplay footage. I'm sorry I really don't understand how some of you can hate soooo much on how this game looks; the lava level and the purple dragon in the vid look incredible, the level of detail and polish looks very nice.

First you say it isnt as aesthically pleasing, and then you say your point was that non cell shaded games are more difficult to accomplish, first of all, as someone has already said, you prove that you know nothing about this as cell shading is ACTUALLY harder to make as people have said before in this thread, obviously- with you ignoring them. Secondly, do you even KNOW what aesthetically pleasing MEANS? it has absolutely nothing to do with how difficult the graphics were to make, we dont really care about that. I thought each and every one of the Prime games looked beautiful, and they are some of my favourite games in the last two gens. Metroid Other M is gettign released in '10 (could even be Q4) thus its definetaly far from the latter stages of development, and the game WILL look better but from what I've seen, it looks pretty good. I'm abit of a metroid fanboy but I can honestly say that it looks pretty good. Wii graphics king? hell no (well maybe by the time in comes out), good looking game? I'd say so, but we really have to wait until we see more. Yes I can name plenty of flaws from the pics in the graphics and yes MP3 may look better but I REALLY dont care, because this game is going to be awesome, no matter how it looks.
