So is this supposed to prove anything? I'm pretty sure that the best graphics of this gen on consoles beats the best graphics on PC from LAST gen.
You should allow recent mods. That would be more fair.
maybe half life 2 for pc, and killzone 2 for consoles?
dackchaar
comparing a 2004 game to a 2009 game?
lol
First off PC does not have generations, secondly even if it did how would comparing a last gen systems graphics to a current generation system a fair comparison?

For fun and to see where consoles really stand against PC, so have some ufn post some screens! :PFor fun and to see where consoles really stand against PC, so have some ufn post some screens! :PFanboy5647
Well seeing how the G80 series launched a few days before all three consoles hit the market; the hardware to exceed them was already available before the current console generation started.
The games available at the time was not a indiciation of PC hardware capability, as with console launch games it takes a while for the software to catch up with the hardware.

Pick a side? You know for a fact 2009 console games will exceed pre console launch PC games, it's common sense.
This is just a petty attempt to handicap PC because that's the only way console will ever gain the graphical advantage.
I have a GeForce 7300 LE. I have DDR 1 ram and my motherboard does not support DDR 2, will a GeForce 7900 GTX work on my PC?) If you have a PCI-E slot, yes, it will.[QUOTE="Fanboy5647"]

yeah... so prove it, can you beat that HL2 screen from PC i postedI have a GeForce 7300 LE. I have DDR 1 ram and my motherboard does not support DDR 2, will a GeForce 7900 GTX work on my PC?)

If you have the slot to support it. Should be no problem.
My friend uses and old AMD 3200+, 2 GB DDR 400 and a 9500 GT that is over clocked by a ton... He can play all modern games just fine at 1440 x 900 res.
wow......i own HL2 and all the episodes and ive never seen her look so good[QUOTE="Fanboy5647"]
so...

Get the latest FakFactory mods. It gives much more detailed character models.
This is a pic from the older version though.
It gives a couple models, it's just preference if you like them more.

I believe this is the whole file:
Half-Life 2 - FakeFactory Cinematic Mod V9.5 HD Mod Complete
It's big though, clocking in at 9.1GB.
It took me a while, so it's up to you if it's worth it :P

I'm extremely sure it looked better than that.
That a console game released around 08 - 09 looks better than a pc game released from last gen. I find it stupid for people to make threads that has obvious bias to their console of choice. I mean, if you want to have a graphic war, then let the pc show what it can really do, same goes for consoles. This reminds me of the poll of which console had the better web browser. TC added xbox360 to the poll. stupid imo.

Doom 3 hasn't aged well.
I'm running this pre-2006 beast of a game on my GeForce 6600 GT. Console fanboys, you have no hope against Armagon's life-like textures.
