He is right though. Back when Deus Ex came out, or around then anyway, it was noted to be lacking in graphics.[QUOTE="Regisland"][QUOTE="II_Seraphim_II"] Why don't people who think MAG is a bad game pass the Beta Keys my way? :PII_Seraphim_II
because you dont need one.its public.
really!? :o Now I just need to wait 3 days to get my PS3 back from repairs (dead blu-ray drive :x)yeah, but it wont show up normally (at least on mine) you gotta search mag and see where the public beta is.

Yeah, not even the "opinions" card can save MAG from being a terrible game.
Okay,I should stop having opinions from now on then.I will do whatever SW says.
That's a good boy!! :)

inFAMOUS. One of the funnest games this gen, but the visuals are below average if you ask me. They aren't bad, but they're certainly not good.
Regisland
Infamous graphics were great for a open world game o.o
I thought the graphics were bad as well. Horrible textures, bad lighting, bad facial animations, and jaggies every where. Luckily the gameplay was its strong point, and it was a very fun game.New Super Mario Bros. Wii
It doesn't have horrible graphics, but the game lacks any sort of ambition and risk.
shoryuken_
my thoughts exactly. Imo it would have been 100 times better if they had done something in the same vain as warioland shake it. But then again the game sold like 9 million copies already so I guess they made the right decision
KOTOR, the graphics are not "bad" but just meh. Game is amazing though.
Rougehunter
Playing it now, actually. Alt-tabbed taking a 10 minute break. :P
I can't think of anything really. Then again, graphics are the last thing I notice/care about in a game.

exactlyNonstop-Madness and GreenGoblin2099 can I borrow your crystal balls? Seriously wait till it comes out before making any major judgements (like whether the game is good or not).
Id say Elder Scrolls Oblivion ONLY because of the questionable character models lol but still it was a freaking breathtaking game in EVERY sense of the word. And the graphics were in fact, yummy.

Dragon Age: Origins, can't believe no one thought of this.

Uh?? I did... those awful graphics were the reason on why I almost skip it. Good thing that when I got it, there was nothing else on the store or I'd probably would've got something else instead.
Anyway, I got it, the game was great... but the graphics remained awful lol.
Maybe in another thread, but the fact that it didn't instantly pop into people's heads is pretty astounding...supposedly the WRPG title that everyone plays and love, but quite underwhelming in the graphics department.
Oblivion had a great graphics engine, but it wasn't used very well with the game. The character models were pretty bad, and the scenery was all copy-and-paste filler. The engine could have most likely handled a better array of scenery; we could have had ice-capped mountains, lush forests, a darker cemetery-esque location (I guess Oblivion itself pretty much fills that void, but there could have been something a bit more creepy or atmospheric in the world as well), abandoned towns, and more; instead we got acres and acres of generic country.Id say Elder Scrolls Oblivion ONLY because of the questionable character models lol but still it was a freaking breathtaking game in EVERY sense of the word. I've been playing Dead Space on PC and it looks stellar. Sure it ain't no Crysis, but you won't gouge out your eye balls or anything....Ummm....If I had to chose a game, excluding Dragon Age Origins I would say....hmm...I can't really think of any this gen. All the good games have had good graphics...I guess you could say Resistance 1 and/or Resistance 2? They looked fine, but definitely not graphics kings or anything like that but they were great games and a lot of fun to play. You can add Warhawk onto that list too. One of the most balanced and fun MP experiences out there, but the graphics aren't exactly top caliber, but in both the Resistance cases and the Warhawk case, the graphics are excused by the scale of the games( Warhawk - endless draw distance on giant levels that allows you to snipe people miles away; Resistance 1 - 40 players at a time and a launch game; Resistance 2 - 60 player matches on large levels, and 4 player co-op that has TONS of enemies on screen) And I guess you could throw Halo 3 onto that list too, but Halo 3 is excused because its just so freaking awesome :D I'm not denying the graphics aren't good, but I felt many of the places looked t the same. Technically the graphics are great. :) Well, you're kind of trapped in a giant mining ship. Of course areas are going to look similar[QUOTE="II_Seraphim_II"][QUOTE="Mr_Cumberdale"]L4D (mostly in split screen) comes to mind. Dead Space wasn't that good either (artistically). Mr_Cumberdale
Hmm great game that is relatively fun but suffer because of horrible graphics this generation? Well the only game that fit this category that I have play this generation is Dragon Age: Origins. At first I was a bit optimistic about that game and was hoping the game probably did better at the other component, and to my surprise the game was so well done that the visual wasn't really a problem anymore.

Actually,it´s from 2000 :PBut the graphics were still called bad when it first came out, and funnily it ran on an engine from '98!
Mine is ofcourse:
Dwarf Fortress!
Oh my god look at thoes graphics!
Latest version came out 2008 next version will come out in a month or two. Game is still in open Alpha so it's free to download and play but the devs (2 people) made 32 thousand dollars in donations just from 2009!
Fallout 3, although amazing looking at times, can look quite dull, not to mention repetitive (the environments, that is). It is, however, one of the best games I've ever played.
I guess Prototype could be mentioned, too. Great fun and solid gameplay all in all, but certainly not the game you show off your new graphics card to in front of your friends.
I can't think of a game I've played recently that had terrible visuals on either side of the spectrum, but was still awesome in spite of itself. Many great games have so-so technical graphics but still stand out from an artistic perspective. No More Heroes, for example.
Dragon Age is certainly the most recent game I played that did not have outstanding visuals, but still managed to greatly impress. My good friend and colleague Justin Calvert has said to me that he doesn't even a mind a game that looks mediocre in some ways as long as it has a consistent look to it. Dragon Age on consoles is such a game. My first 30 minutes with that game were not pleasant (It's worth pointing out that we received the 360 version first, so it is the first version of the game I played.) I actually called over several people to my desk to check out just how mediocre the opening cinematic (something Bioware has, in the past, excelled at) and first portion of the game looked. But Dragon Age's graphics are consistent, and so that poor first impression (visually) fades.
OK, scratch that. Comet Crash on PSN was our downloadable game of the year, and that game has terrible visuals, both artistically and technically. I also know there are some fans of that F1 game on the Wii that was released not too long ago, and it looks like crappola.
What did you think of Dragon Age on PC? On very high, with a high resolution, I think the game looks pretty solid. Definitely no Crysis, but has some cool effects and monster design at least....Graphics in MAG don't look so bad considering how many ppl are playing and how huge the maps are. I keep hearing that it is good from different ppl. I think it will score similar to the Socom games and build a community like those games.MAG is a good game with bad graphics

Socom was released at a time when there wasn't so much competition. Now you've got: Vegas6, GRAW, CoD, and the Bf series. And thats just a list of "realistic" shooters.MAG is a good game with bad graphics

Anything that doesn't alter the Unreal 3 engine in any significant way. I'm talking Gears, UT3 etc.aaronmullanbut those games have good graphics :| Altough i wouldn't consider ethier great ut3 was a really good game and gears was simple slightly above average.
 i thought that was supposed to be one of the better looking wii games!Zelda Twilight princess. Was not a looker and was worse looking than some launch titles on the wii but it was amazing game.
