Best ones I can think of off the top of my head are

• Starcraft (and brood war)
• Final fantasy X
• Final Fantasy VII
• Thief
• Mass Effect
• KotOR
• Panzer Dragoon Saga (I enjoyed them at least)
• Any time the G-man is talking in Half life
• Kingdom Hearts
• Kingdom Hearts 2
• Metroid Prime
• RE4

Metal Gear Solid series cutscenes, although longwinded sometimes, never fail in immersing the player in a world that actually feels real (which might sound weird what with crazy and unusual characters/gameplay, but that's just to the casual observer or dissatisfied customer)

Don't mean to cream all over myself, but I can't help it. These cutscenes are just so damn good.

Fire_Hurts

I've noticed this too, and its not just in Metal Gear Solid. I had the same feeling in Snatcher. Kojima has a great way of taking totally illogical things (bullets flying around a woman in a one-piece, robots that usurp somebody's identity) and making them believeable.

yeah right. too many to just pic kone. th eFF series had good ones. like the end of disc 1 of FF7, or MGS series all had good cut scenes. no good answer IMO.

I was playing No More Heroes for a few hours last night, and it occurred to me that it has some of the greatest cutscenes I've ever seen in a video game. Then I thought, I wonder what other titles have such amazing cutscenes. What game do you guys think has the greatest cutscenes in history?Erkidu
