Greatest Ownage for this Gen?

I just wanted to know what you people think on which game (that gets a less-than-desireable score) will create the biggest chaos for system wars. Personally, I like to wait for games before judging them, I hate how everyone is setting themselves up. If you put your expectations too high, you'll be dissapointed every time.

So which game will create the biggest ownage if it "flops".

If MGS flops, the cows will have nothing.

The fact that you've got 2 highly anticipated 360 games on there immediately negates them both from the poll, since if one flops, the 360 still has the other.

But tbh, MGS4 flopping would cause some serious ownage.. lets be honest

Lesee... MP can't be too bad, since Zelda has already burnt the sheep.

Then we have Mass Effect, which looks awesome, and is being hyped, but is in no way defining the console.

Crysis is being hyped graphically first and foremost, so even if it flops, it will still look pretty.

So we're left with Halo and MGS. Both would be painful ownage for the party being owned... however, I do think that MGS4 would be slightly worse. A lot of cows keep raving about how MGS4 will, along FFXIII and Lair, somehow validate the PS3. Halo, on the other hand, although the defining franchise of the Xbox, is no longer the only anchor the system has, and the 360 does not actually "need" halo - it's jumped from "savior" to "killer-app".

Killzone 2, I'm excited to see how it turns out, but the hype is still very underwhelming for this title, mainly because of how the first installment of the game turned out. 

Considering that the PS3 doesn't have "One" exclusive that is an AAA title, MGS flopping will only make things that more devestating. They will have nothing to fall back on except their pathetic favorite Sony quote "Wait until Next Year!"

Even if Halo or Mass Effect flops, the 360 already has a few AAA exclusive titles.  Much more ammo for Lemmings already.

Halo 3 is probably the most hyped exclusive game in history, so I choose that. Grand Theft Auto IV is equally, if not more popular, but it's difficult for it to be ownage due to its multiplat status. Granted, I doubt any of the games you listed on the poll will "flop" in the slightest.

I disagree. The Hype for this game was overwhelming. The reason it would be the biggest ownage is because every cow in existence has tied the success of the PS3 to this game. It's died down now but you should have seen these boards when the CGI trailer debuted at e3.

Halo 3 no contest.  The only reason MS is still in the business is because of Halo's massive popularity.  If Halo had never been released, MS wouldn't have made it through the first 2 years.  The Xbox picked up a lot of great titles because of how Halo did, and put Xboxes in homes.

Can't really say the same for the others.

Not really. Halo 3 is probably the most hyped game in history (Or at least I've ever seen). Killzone 3, from what I've seen, is hyped high AA right now. Halo 3's hype is so amazing, flopping would destroy SW. :lol:

Out of all of those, MGS4.

Cows seem to think of this game as a savior.  If it flops, there will be no reason to buy a PS3.

Crysis, because it won't get AAA, from what I've seen it's a mediocre shooter, with amazing graphics.  That's about it.  Mind you it will be high AA.Bluestorm-Kalas

Crysis will get a 9.0 - 9.4. That is my prediction.

Hey now, don't be so quick to judge on your part. I think it would be funny if Halo 3 or Mass Effect flopped because they get a lot of attention around here at System Wars. I'm excited for all of them. I own all 3 consoles, I'm getting all these games. Get over yourself. I won't even bother to list the promising exclusives, cuz you've already proven your fanboyism.

If u actually had all 3 systems, how come ur PSN is the only thing u have listed in ur sig...sounds like DC to me, and since u were quick to judge the "fanboy above" ur agrument and u = fail (if u had all 3 consoles u wouldnt be backtracking and saying u want all games to be good when u said u thought flopping was funny on a console u own)...Lying on a game forum = pathetic
