If it is such common knowledge then can you show links were they are only going after the casual market for example a statement from MS saying this?[QUOTE="SilentlyMad"]
[QUOTE="tomarlyn"] Its common knowledge they are going after the casual market. The casual market buys games like Cooking Mama and Just Dance, instead of Zelda or Mass Effect. I've yet to meet anyone in real life thats actually heard of Mass Effect (except my brother)killab2oo5

I have no idea either way but would like your links showing it is common knowledge.
Actions speak louder than words, and so far the only thing we've seen of natal of casual mini-games that appeal to the masses. It's doesn't take rocket science to see that Natal is clearly aimed towards the casual market. They have shown around 3 games total and you act like you know the whole library. I would not talk about rocket science since you seem to not even know the games at all but act like you do. Why not wait and see what they release. There was the breakout type game were you hit the balls.and Burnout Paradise for Natal ( not a casual game)
and
Katamari for Natal which many people loved last gen when it was a exclusive game for the PS2.

Casuals and non gamers have no brand loyalty
thats the thing right there avatars are too...detailed it aint simple therefore most casuals are not going to like it

^_^ Well...at this moment that IS the entire library, and I would not call Katamari complex. They have shown around 3 games total and you act like you know the whole library. Actually GTA4 is higher rated.^_^ Well...at this moment that IS the entire library, and I would not call Katamari complex.Very true that is all we know of the library which is 3 games with one being Burnout Paradise and you were the one claiming it is not rocket science to know every single game would be for the super casuals. Also never said Katamari was complex but people sure semed to brag how great it was when it was exclusive.[QUOTE="SilentlyMad"]

Actually GTA4 is higher rated.on gamespot yea it is...metacritic i dont think so last time i checked
I predict that Natal will have quite a few problems at launch, there will be a lot of complaints from people that it's not working as well.

I never said the *entire* library would be aimed at casuals, but I do believe it's safe to say the vast majority will consist of casual games. You're just falling the PR trash.SilentlyMad
"Fanboys" brag about anything that's exclusive...look at Last Rebellion.

Wow, that looks horrible to play (burnout).
I wonder what would be people's tone if Sony said Move will sell "millions and millions".TintedEyesIntense hatred and claims of Sony being arrogant would be the tone from the fanboys. Anyway I dont see why Natal cant sell pretty well if it's gona be bundled with all new xboxes when it launches. Thats what I haveread from alot of sources. I wonder if it will sell well on it's on though. That and having good games to play will be the ultimate test on how well this thing will do. Im also curious to see how much it will cost. We see how much MS charges for their first party accesories. Price and games will be very improtant for Natal to succeed. I hope it does well though.
I'm sure it will sell dramatically, but I hope the software stays relevant. I haven't purchased a Wii yet, because of the motion control setup, and I have my doubts on how all this is going to be implemented into the games of Microsoft's console. I have my fingers crossed and I hope they do sell millions, just don't ruin solid franchises with ridiculous motion waggle!
i`ll buy it, looks fun and it can be used for more then just games. so thats a bonus. incase i dont like the games

Yes. if you look at the rated scores of the Wii's library by game critics, it doesnt touch the 360 or PS3's. that doesnt stop it from being easily the most successful console.

thats because the so called gamecritics are people in the 18 to 35 male crowd. they have a specific taste that games from nintendo just dont tend to aim to (nintendo always aims for everyone).. especially with the wii nintendo completely devoted themselves to the games for everyone mantra (games like wii sports and wii play).. and those games received bad scores.. but i personally dont think that wii sports or wii play are games that deserves scores in the 7s or 6s.. those games are very well made and are beyond the sales and social impact they had in its core very enjoyable and well made games. i believe the game reviews would look a lot different today if game reviewers had knew of the impact those games would have on the gaming industry.but you can play wii sports on the couch. so it gets boring alot faster after you stop making the real life movements. natal makes you get up and do the real life acts. both kids and parents will enjoy natal more. because it feels new each time you play. i think this will give ms a big edge on move and wii . and might even get 360 life in japan.so people are expecting a wii sports clone to sell 50 million units.. lol @ you

Microsoft has pretty high hopes for Natal, that much is certain. In fact, Aaron Greenberg claims it's not just going to sell millions, but "millions and millions".
"Our focus for launch [for Natal] is on original experiences, built from the ground up," the Microsoft product director said in an interview for Edge's April issue."We believe that's important because the first impression has to be a magical one.
"But because we expect millions and millions of these things to be sold this Christmas, over time developers will know millions of customers have these sensors so they can add functionality to theirgames."
"So you may see hybrid approaches, but our initial focus is on those unique experiences."
Natal is slated for launch towards the end of the year.

Maybe Sony should be scared...perhaps Natal is the "final nail in the coffin", eh? :3
killab2oo5
"hybrid approach", that is an interesting euphemism for tacked on
Sorry but motion controls was pushing it....no controls at all......i hope this bombs bad and costs M$ millions and millions. Im not interested in move or natal but move seems to be the better of the too because its pretty much a HD Wii. Natal seems too risky and possibly a gen or 2 too early.
Controller waggle >>>>>> body waggle
