Gawwwwwwwwwwwwd, this extra week delay is going to kill me. Seriously thinking of getting it off US PSN,
I'd kill ya too. LOL.
Very rude. I thought we was pals. :(
We are. Just a ole line I like using from Jump Street.

@Animal-Mother: "A short slice of a game" is exactly what this is. MG games are usually 60-70 hours of gameplay with side missions. In essence you are buying an expansion pack of a game just reversed.
Why can't this game be broken into pieces and rolled out leading up to the final product? I have a real problem with a game offering a teaser with absolutely no solid release date. What if the game doesn't sell well and Konami and company decide to go into a different direction due to low sales? Just sets a bad precedent in my eyes.
I am not saying that the game is not good but that I think it hurts the gamer in the long run to buy into this sort of thing.
LOL have you ever played an MGS game? They are NOT 60-70 hours of gametime at most 25-30 Also 4-5 hours is a short slice of an MGS game but it's about 20 times bigger than most demos.
I'm willing to admit $30 is too expensive but at $20 it's a solid title.
Also you're explaining what it was. MGS 5 was broken into two separate pieces also Kojima won't pull a main title MGS game it's silly to think that it's too big a title and there's a lot of hype around it regardless of how people view ground zeroes.
Its funny how cows were using metacritic scores for Titanfall some saying they prefer MC more rather than GS. It has a 75 on MC and I beat you cows will start ignoring it altogether.

Since when? The only ones that even came close to that were Peace Walker, and maybe Portable Ops.
Reviews seem positive so far but gamers still seem unconvinced from what I've been reading. Gonna get the PS4 version when it comes out here
I want to hear what Angry Joe has to say about it. He would give us the real deal and wouldn't sugar coat or leave out any details that other review sites do when simply giving a letter grade score with little to validate their opinion.
Yeah looking forward to his take on it. He'll likely lambaste it for the length and price tag.

My friends, both are corrupt, no doubt. However due to the cumulative nature of metacritic, it is slightly less corrupt.
Metal Gear is no longer relevant they said...
It will get a 2 out of 10 they said...
Haha Metal Gear can release a demo for a game and still score higher than most games. Phantom Pain is going to be incredible.
Yeah Buddy!! Gonna get it.
I'm having a hell of a good time with it right now. The controls are fucking phenomenal for an MGS game. All the little details you would expect are there and then some. Phantom Pain is going to shit all over MGS4... not that that's an accomplishment, but still.
you're a special kind of stupid aren't you? Tell me how many 10/10 games there are here on Gamespot, you really think that's not an accomplishment? Would love to see Phantom Pain breaking the scale and getting an 11/10 though. What's next, the Godfather movies were mediocre? A Bugatti is no longer a fast car? Leonardio Da Vinci was a terrible painter?
Descent score although it has around a 75 on metacritic but I'm not going be jackass about it and shove it in cows face
75? In the new rating value, that means it's Big Rigs.
Not suprised by this site giving it an 8 since they gave 4 a 10.

No it doesn't, because games aren't reviewed the exact same every single year. Times change and standards change. Games are reviewed against their contemporaries

Honestly man, I'm in such a good mood about MGS5 right now that I don't even feel like discussing the bastard child of the series. lol @ those comparisons though.
Rejoice man, MGS is back!
MG games are usually 60-70 hours of gameplay with side missions.
If Peace Walker is the only game in the series you played, then yes.
None of the main games in the series are even close to that long and they don't have side missions either.
MGS games have always been known for high replay value, not for being long.
I can't find a PS4 copy anywhere. Of course there were Xbox One copies but why would I get the version with the fewer p's?
Have this game and an 8 is what I give it too. Keep in mind that Ground Zeroes is a prologue to Metal Gear Solid V which comes out later, it's not supposed to be a full game. It's a short game, but with high replay value and you unlock new missions when you "beat it".

fewer p's? (Players?)
Haters gonna hate, after playing GZ I can't wait for Phantom Pain.
It almost makes the wait for Phantom Pain unbearable. Because that game is gonna be off the chain.

lol'd

Dearth (noun)
1. an inadequate supply; scarcity; lack.
e.g. There is a dearth of writing talent amongst Gamespot editors.

He edited it to say wealth.
I noticed that.
I seldom more than skim-read reviews here anyway, because of the tendency for most to be laden with spoilers.
Also, an "English fail" within the review is somewhat ironic, given the poor grammar exhibited in the game's title.
I think the game is average at best . Of course The Phantom Pain will be a lot better . The main mission can be completed in less than an hour , without speed runs . The mission itself was just OK at best . Gameplay animations are still stiff but facial expressions are great . Rough ground surfaces have better textures but the ones on walls are terrible (Xbox One version looks even worse) . Snake's voice was a bit distracting but we'll get used to it . Intro was great but other cutscenes were bit cheesy , full of average writing , bad animations here and there and last scene was very stupid ; Hands of a random person is shown , he opens her stomach , they get the bomb out of her body and she just stands up after few minutes . Not to mention incredibly bad camera placements during cutscenes .
75 metacritic. Almost as bad as the new Thief. Nice one.
Amazing how in test scores in school or anywhere else 75% is considered good
In gaming terms it's considered bad
In my experiences, a 75% was a solid C, which was average.
The issue here is that some people tend to compare gaming scores with schooling scores where any game that scores less than a 6 (i.e. 1-5) is considered to be a failure.
Well here anything below 40% is considered a fail. Which is why I tend to think above 75 is really good
The standards of scores varies widely among individuals. For me personally, if I get anything under about a 90% Test wise - grade wise anything under a 93% - I consider it bad or not very good. While 75% is suppose to be average if you have high achievers, average doesn't settle well with them. It also depends on where you are in your life, education, and what you want to do.
However, video games are on an entirely different grading spectrum in my opinion. The two ideas, school grades and video game scores, don't mesh.
