GS Best of 2010: Platform Awards

Once again, Red Dead Redemption proves its might. Mass Effect 2 has no chance for Game of the Year now. Commence tears, ME2 fans. :P

As they should be! As far as i'm concerned, SC2 and SMG2 are the only two contenders. As amazing as so many other games were this year, they just are so far behind SC2 and SMG2.

My guess is that SMG2 will take GOTY. I agree with that choice. Though, my personal fav of the year is SC2.

Again, no real surprises after gamespot showed their love toward RDR since the special achievements.

Well RDR is an amazing game, and deserves all these awards. (Deal with it haters :P)

So, I'd say the obvious choice for GOTY is...

GT5.

Despite its absence on the list of nominees :P

I am glad Mass Effect 2 isnt getting it, I really dont see what people see in that game. Still certain SC2 or SMG2 gets it (2 games taking place in the galaxy and ends with a 2), Blizzard and Nintendo are my 2 fave developers so it would be interesting to see who comes on top. Red Dead Redemption still has a good chance though.

So game of the year is down to Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty, Red Dead Redemption and Super Mario Galaxy 2; as expected. =P
While it seems likely that Red Dead Redemption will take the award, Starcraft II continues to win every award it has been nominated for. Tomorrow is the day, so we won't have to wait much longer.

With this my guess for podium in the GOTY race is like this:

1. RDR

2. SMG2

3. SC2

Who would have guessed the two factions with the strongest rivalry could end up joining up to own the other two factions. Also an awful multiplat(in SW mentality) could end up being GOTY.
