GS Best of 2010: Platform Awards

personally, i really enjoyed both, though i'll give rdr the nod over me2.

What a joke. RDR is a good game but is receiving way to much praise. There were several games this year far better than RDR, what a shame. We had games like GOW3, ME2, Heavy Rain, Alan Wake, Vanquish, AC:Brotherhood ect. and the VGA's and now GS for some reason think RDR is gods greatest gift to man. RDR is not in my top 5 personal best games of the year. The PS3 platform award should have gone to HR or GOW3, both are more deserving for the PS3 than RDR.djsifer01

goldeneye should have been picked, even though smg2 was awsome goldeneye was asome and it lived up to a name that was hard to live up to that said ya gamespot you lost me there, i dont know how you choose these games

Wut? MAG, Heavy Rain, Modnation Racers, 3D Dot Game Heroes, GT5, etc, etc. Plenty actually much more than the 360 that's for sure.

Yep. In my opinion, RD:R is one of the single most boring games I have ever wasted my time on. It looked pretty though.

It's a 3 horse race now and I am backing Mario Galaxy 2 to get it because it has so much vareity and is a hell of alot of fun.

Fair enough, but I do like western movies, RDR just felt bad gameplay wise, bad cover system, awnkward controllers. It should play somewhat like Uncharted, that would be cool xD

But I do get your point anyway and it's ok, after all we don't need to have the same taste.

I think he is just a bit peeved that it should have won or been nominated shooter of the year rather than RPG of the year. Or he is just not happy with it being in the same group as RPGs.
