Just downloaded it today (btw I love DD cause my blu ray drive broke and I ain't getting it fixed).. my thoughts are..... this game gives me a headache so fast , I think its the jaggie forest or the over brightness the game has.. story seems cool tho, so ill push thru (delta difficulty, cause I'm a boss like that on all my games lol).. I really don't see how this game is anything special tho, even if it had the graphics of pc.. its kinda boring tbh

Graphics and sound were a big part, but the gameplay is what defined it. Too bad they gave consoles the crappy Nanosuit 2.0. The way it lets you decide how to take on each objective and doesn't limit you in what you want to do. Throwing explosive barrels at the helicopters, sprinting off of high cliffs while bringing forth a blazing storm of lead fury or raining down RPGs....I'll just stop here. There's just so much stuff you can do here that other FPSes don't let you do due to their linearity and design.

the one thing I do like so far IS the sound. The bullets sound so real when your shooting someone far away. About the other stuff you said tho, sounds pretty fun!! Like I said earlier, ill look past the awfull graphics and just be thankfull I can play the game at all

Only gun sounds I've heard are the SCAR-L and FY71. The FY71 sounds a LOT better in the PC version. The console version sounds so fake. Same applies for the SCAR-L, which I thought sounded like the ones from Crysis 2, which I thought were very bad.
Also I found Crysis to be a ***** to play with a 360 controller back when it released on PC. It's one of those games that are just simply better with a KB/M (IMO of course.)

It looks so bad it would have been better if it was never released on consoles. You want to play a four years old game? Do it on pc or go play crysis 2 which looks miles better.

Eh, I'm still glad it's on consoles, otherwise I wouldn't be able to play it. I'm sure lack of MP had something to do with the new score, I guess I'll read it. My only problem so far is a less than smooth framerate.Deathtransit

It doesn't have Nanosuit 2 it has sort of a mix of both, you still have all of the modes they're just not full, Stealth and Armour work as normal, strength works in that you can still throw things a long distance and if you hold A you jump higher, and speed still let's you sprint faster, it's just some of the smaller touches like being able to throw grenades further and aim better in strength mode that don't seem to be in here. The main hindrance so far is the lack of quick save, it means you can't mess around as much for fear of having to repeat a massive section of the game. And ultraking, I'd suggest playing on a lower difficulty, the game is so much more fun when you can just run into a firefight and go crazy, jumping up onto a roof and then shooting the hell out of everything, it makes it less challenging but the console version is only challenging because you have areas with about 40 enemies in them and no checkpoints, so to me that's annoying not a challenge.

Disagree strongly with you there. Aside from the VTOL section (which I still can't be bothered to finish) Crysis is one of the better singleplayer FPSes I've played this generation.
I bought this game the first day it was out. I don't play PC games, so I was happy to be able to play Crysis to see what the fuss was about. It kind of sucks, though - the checkpoints make everything really frustrating because it's a game where you die a lot, and you have to repeat way too much. No save function = fail. And I can't see the enemies, but they can always see me. What's the point of stealth options if there is no line of sight, but enemies can see you wherever you are no matter what? My favorite thing about the game was that it let me pick up a turtle in the beginning, but I'm kind of worried I killed the turtle when I threw it.

Also what's all this stuff about AI being able to see you so easily? In the PC version bushes and foliage turn you invisible, and there is a caution state before the KPA go to alert state. Is that gone?
Its an ok game, nothing special about it other than trophies lol, plays way too similar to BF3/BC2 and its very slow, the game is all about sneaking so far. playing on Delta gets annoying at times but overall a 7.5 from me

You can play crysis how ever you want pure run and gun like below or slow and stealthy or any combination of the 2 I've wiped out entire squad of marines with nothing but my super strength+speed and a 4 lb crab. Thing is i started with Delta so i can finish it up with a platinum trophy lol ( 100% for those that dont know what a platinum is ). running and gunning dosent work as i seem to die very fast so i ended up playing the first 5 chapters just walking slowly, sniping and hidden. what i hate the most is that the moment my visibility sheild is gone the enemy would know exactly where i am i mean WTF!? dont know why such series is praised so much its average at best :P
You are playing it on consoles and on Delta on your first playthrough. you havent really given it much of a chance. There is a lot of depth to Crysis, you just have to not be boring and learn to experiment. play it on pc on either normal or hard and then we'll talk.
