GS: Prototype (360 Review) - 8.5 / 10

interesting, after seeing ign's review i would have thought gamespot would've given it a 7.0

I got the PC version, having a blast with this game.

I bought it today and don't regret it. The graphics aren't too good and the controls take getting used to but the game is fun as ****.

I pointed that GTAIV has not been compared with Prototype or inFamous as directly as those both with each other (IIRC, you yourself made a thread comparing both).

So yes, 10 > 9 > 8.5, but that's not too relevant because the recent "match" has been between inFamous and Prototype (not GTAIV, in fact, it has not even been mentioned in quite some time).

And inFamous won :)

MGS4>GTAIV because MGS4 is the better action-adventure game according to gamespot since their of the same genre

Btw, I love inFAMOUS and Prototype, but let's be honest, GTA IV is the superior sandbox game, at least according to reviews, which is what you guys keep arguing, so I'll throw a wrench in the cog.

inFAMOUS and Prototype have different power palettes, different worlds, different ways to traverse (platforming in inFAMOUS, locomotive adaptive parkour in Prototype), and vehicles to use in Prototype. Different games set in sandbox worlds, but you're still comparing, so we might as well throw in GTA IV.

I personally thought Crackdown 1 was great, though had some weird problems. But it looks like Microsoft really wants to push Crackdown 2, so the dev's will have a lot more time and resources to make Crackdown 2 awesome :D

No. I really thought it was fun, though I hated the new Prince of Persia.

Hopefully this encourages more people to buy it, it really is a pretty damn fun game. Even the graphics are better then I thought they'd be, though explosions are still really really bad lol.

Oh snap. Confirmed buy for PC! :D And Infamous won :oSMR-Venom

both were destined to be great games... the problem was fanboys from each side who started the comparisons & discussions.. what's funny though was why PS3 fanboys even bothered discussing considering they could get both on PS3..

Anyway glad that both games turned out great, atm playing inFamous but plan to get Prototypeon my 360 later on this summer (after i finish a backlog of games i got) :)
