WOW another love it or hate it game. If it had better multiplayer id consider it but after playing the demo I knew this game was no good. Im just keeping my fingers crossed for Mortal Kombat VS DC Universe because all ive been playing lately is Gears 2, COD WAW, Halo 3 and Team Fortress 2.. I desperatley need a non shooter multiplayer game and ive been wanting a next gen Mortal Kombat since the 360 was announced, I pray MK VS DC gets good reviews, so far it has a 8.5 from OXM and they are pretty reliable, so far so good.. But yea, that was completly off topic lol but stinks for Banjo fans
When I bought my 360 a year or more ago, I bought it thinking of this game. From the point when we first saw Banjo this game has been on my want list. I have defended Rare more times than I care to count.
Now I am holding out hopes that I will still find my enjoyment out of this game I normally get out of rare games. I could see myself getting way over heated if this game sucks.
Hopefully, those who keep defending this game blindly can stop. This game was pretty much cancelled for me when it changed from Banjo Threeie, to Nuts and Bolts. Since the first gameplay trailer, it has looked awful to me.

What a shame. The first two achieved mid AAA and I loved every bit of them. 6.7? What was Rare thinking? I had very high hopes for this game and even considered getting a 360 for it. Why can't Rare just make Banjo Threeie?

It's right on the edge of being either A or AA. On metacritic it is an "A" score.
I don't know what is going on with Rare lately, Banjoo was a sure thing for them if they would've just stuck to what people wanted.
It's not fully guaranteed, but I think now is the time to prepare for an enormous swath of denial and subsequent thread-bumping.nervmeister
That is assuming people even care enough about this game to have a reaction after the review. You see a review (yes...even from Gametrailers) of big games, you get 200 posts about the subject easily. Based on the low number of comments and the meh attitude toward the game at this point, I doubt a GS review is going to cause much of a stir at all. I guarantee if GeoW2 and Resistance 2 were not reviewed by GS until a few days after they launched, people would be complaining left and right. People don't seem to really feel one way or another about Nuts and Bolts. It is just kind of there and no one really seems to care.
screw all the haters, this game is fun. its the most fun i have had with a game all year. it way more fun than super mario galaxy. smg had no exploration, showdown town is one of the best hub worlds ever. so i suggest not listen to reviewers, and give the game a chance. its only 40 bucks!!!

You didn't give it enough of a chance. After messing up twice i figured out how to intuitively move the camera to a position that would allow me to figure out where my piece should go, and I was pretty quickly able to create competent vehicles. You became frustrated too soon my friend.
Anything below AA is flop. The official hype for this and Valkyria is AA. I expect Banjo to flop and if it does, I hope cows treat it as the biggest flop ever. Even though Banjo has had little hype compared to other 360 games. We should do EXACTLY what lems did for SOCOM and treat it as the biggest flop ever and hold our ears and keep declaring ownage without listening to logic and reason. Valkyria Chronicles may flop, but I imagine it meeting the hype and getting AA. The game is awesome.

sorry man but it is averaged A (it has a 79% rating) still I loved the demo and look forward to playing it soon. To each his own. :wink:
I think that rare should just quit wasting our time by trying to bring back the former glory of their original 64 games. And start to focuz their efforts more on new exciting games.

The things they critisise the gameplay for are exactly the things I like about the game. I think it's very rewarding when you manage to make a vehicle that you can finish a challenge in record time with. It's a way of playing and thinking that I have never really experienced in a video game before, and to me that's a very good thing. I guess this is a game that takes a particular kind of mindset to enjoy, one that Gametrailers probably does not have.
Well, it seems that Gametrailers was wrong that the platform genre will be revived after Super Mario Galaxy as this Banjo game flopped. It seems to us that Galaxy will be the best platformer this generation, as I do not see any serious contenders next year.
I nominate this game for "Most Disappointing of 2008."
