Wow. Alot of 360 games are not meeting expecrations this year huhiRock_OBAMA
Actually alot of PS3 games are not. 360 games are selling, while PS3 ones go to the bargin bins.

Bummer, that's not too promising. Is the hype A or AA?Floppy_Jim
I'm sure it will get atleast an A, but to be painfully honest, that Game Trailers review made the game sound like a bit of a mess IMO.
No platforming? You can spend an hour and feel like nothing was accomplished? Wonky vehicle controls? Collectaphons? A lousy story?
The design of the game just sounds horribly unappealing. Honestly, Sonic Unleashed (which I have a bit of hope for) sounds like it is designed better.

1) Yes there is no platforming, it's a different type of game. Â For better or for worse, that's up to you.
2) The game is somewhat like SMG, you go on and try to get some more jiggies and maybe some T.T. Trophies just like how you try to get some more stars in SMG.  So I would have to say that you do feel you accomplished something in an hours time, at least I have.
3) At first I felt the vehicle controls were a bit wonky but after awhile I got better so it's fine.
4) Lousy story? Â They are really going to bash a game like Banjo N&B for having a lousy story after being so passive about the story in SMG just because it's a Mario game. Â Very silly if you ask me.
I usually like Gametrailer's reviews but they dropped the ball with this one because the game is great.  It feels really satisfying when you complete a task flawlessly and earn that T.T. Trophy. And all the unique worlds are very beautiful and well designed.  I recommend anyone who was interested to get it.  If you would rather hate, then fine, your loss.  I also just recently bought Gears of War 2 and for the past couple of days I've chosen to play Banjo N&B over GeoW2, so that should tell you something.
Anything below AA is flop. The official hype for this and Valkyria is AA. I expect Banjo to flop and if it does, I hope cows treat it as the biggest flop ever. Even though Banjo has had little hype compared to other 360 games. We should do EXACTLY what lems did for SOCOM and treat it as the biggest flop ever and hold our ears and keep declaring ownage without listening to logic and reason. Valkyria Chronicles may flop, but I imagine it meeting the hype and getting AA. The game is awesome.WatchmenWatchUs
Meh, they actually did the same thing with LBP so nothing surprised me. :P
Bummer, that's not too promising. Is the hype A or AA?Floppy_Jim
AA, I don't think it's going to be a major flop, but I certainly see a 7.5 in its future.
So now all my hopes for a good platformer rest on Sonic's shoulders? Oh great...espoac
There's still Galaxy. :P
It's funny how 90% of the people in this thread never even played the game, yet they are saying it's garbage. :?
Lets see what GT gave scores to other Rare games this gen:
Kameo-8.9
Perfect Dark Zero-9.0
Viva Pinata-8.0
Viva Pinata: Troublr in Paradise-8.1
And now Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts N Bolts scored a 6.7, I didn't see that coming, I'm having second thoughts about this game now.
This would've been the reason I bought a 360...
I still want to play it and beat it at one my friend's house, but I don't know if it's going to be anywhere near as good as the first two. The only relevance to the series is that the bear and the bird are back. I really don't like designing vehicles, and I feel sad that the third installment to one of the absolute best franchises in the world is just "meh."
I knew it was too good to be true...

I dont think it will be garbage, but i sure as hell aint touching it. I played banjo beacuse it was a great platformer, not a great racing game. :(

What are you talking about? The originals were just blatant Mario 64 rip offs. They werent anything special.
Anyone who's brain isnt stuck in retroville would realise that Nuts and Bolts and far better and more original that the first two.
The review pretty much said since rare added the vehicle mechanic and tossed its old tried and true platforming out the window the game lacks variety and become tedius and boring. Plus they say the story is boring and nonsensical
Ohhh Rare you were SOOOOOOOOOOO much better with nintendo.

*sigh* I wish if people were going to bash a game they would at least play it first. Â I guess that is just the idiocy of System Wars though

My 360Â maybe red ringed but I still played the demo on my bros 360 and wasnt impressed. You lemmings cant take the fact that rare is a shell of it old self on the 360 .
Wow, this thread actually managed to get some life in it after all. I don't know what to think at this point. I can't imagine Banjo being WORSE than PDZ, yet that game scored a 9.0 on GT. Most people seem to hate that game including me. The scores for Banjo are all over the place. IGN AA...TeamXBox A...1up AAA...GT...below A
And then the comments from the very few people who have actually played it. They either love it or think it's trash. Very mixed reactions.
i've played it for the last few days (check the tag) and i must say, while it is different from anything i've ever played, i keep getting sucked into it.Wow, this thread actually managed to get some life in it after all. vehicles handle great, creation is a blast, collecting notes still addictive, and its fun. its not banjo1 or tooie, but its fun
[QUOTE="Samurai_Xavier"]Hopefully, those who keep defending this game blindly can stop. This game was pretty much cancelled for me when it changed from Banjo Threeie, to Nuts and Bolts. Since the first gameplay trailer, it has looked awful to me.

But aren't you blindly bashing it off of anothers hands-on experience with it? Ah, nevermind, I make too much sense.

Just stop. You're not making any sense at all.
I thought PDZ was good IMO, not worthy of a 9.0 but more of a 7.0, this Banjo game seemed mixed reviewed like PDZ as well.Wow, this thread actually managed to get some life in it after all. To be honest, I love the game so far. Its amazing, I really love the vehicle creator, I love building my own vehicles to do the challenges, even though some of them may be similar. I've played the game for 12 hours, and I'm only roughly halfway through (getting enough jiggies to beat the game). I haven't really gone for many trophys, or jinjos, and have barely touched the multiplayer (waiting to get all the parts first). So theres still tons of stuff left for me to do.dipedSounds like your having a great time.

Now you're just spouting out nonsense. You know why the first two banjo games are held in such high regard? Because they took everything that made mario 64 great...and did it better.Nuts and bolts doesn't even compare.
and don't pull the "you haven't played it' card...I'm 50 jiggys in. It's a decent game at best....but it has yet to wow me.
I bought it i liked it
Shane Satterfield(who im betting is the reviewer) has been complaining almost all year...so im not shocked GT wasn't too fond of it....they were never really interested in it to be quite honest
...But it isn't like it has only had bad reviews....Other reviewers(that you people like) like IGN, 1up, etc gave it scores over 8....eurogamer gave it a 7....and this 67 is the only REAL bad score it god...because the other one is from some place called WIRED.

The only thing they took out was the numerous modes and greatness from PD when they made PDZ, but PDZ isn't that bad IMO, Grabbed by the Ghoulies is their worst game BTW, no Rare game is worse than that.Thats true they have characters, music, graphics and writting down but they dont have GAMEPLAY(which is whats most important)

Fair enough. However what made the Banjo games "Banjo" to me was all of the items I listed right above you, and thus this game has met my expectations and blown me away with how well done everything is and what I can create with the vehicle editor. The only knock I have is mission variety, but even the game is still fun to play.
