A demo being a systems best selling game...

I can't put my finger on exactly what's wrong with that... I think it might be everything.

Played it - looks great, plays crap. Well thats not strictly fair. Its plays the same as the last few. Which as a big GT fan is somewhat of a kick in the teeth.

None of the on going GT gameplay issues have been resolved. The cars however are even MORE shiney than before and once again, presentation is second to none.

It seems that they are sticking firmly to thier "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" policy. If it looks good - they will buy it

and we will

rockstar183

on pro with all aids off, GT5P by far has the best driving physics .
how does it play like crap? only bad this is no damage.

If you read the rest of the post I got on to say not actually crap - just unchanged.

Now I own a sports car, and I even take it on track days, and yes, I think the racing physics in GT are pretty sweet...but, as a person that takes my car to a race track, before you get into things like understeer and lift off over steer, there are some more VERY basic things that you learn, that are ALOT more important.

Things like:

HITTING A WALL IS BAD

HITTING OTHER CARS IS BAD

They HAVE TO fix this issue. I don't want total realism. I don't want my head to small through the TV screen if I hit a wall at 200mph, I don't even really care if they don't have cosmetic damamge, but i do want the REAL driving simulator to, at some point (We are up to GT 5 now!), acknowledge some of the most basic elements of racing!

I'm getting a very strong feeling you didn't actually play it for some reason. Maybe it's your profile...idk.

I am pretty sure they have redone the car physics. It cannot be exactly the same as "the last few".

Your very strong feeling is wrong. Its just your gamespot mentality kicking in and telling you that because I have made a halfway negative comment about a playstation game, I have obviously never played a single GT game, have never owned a single playstation product and probably stay at home in bed all day making love to Bill gates.

I can assure you this is not the case, I mearly and honestly feel that GT5 prologue does very little to move the series forward and resolve any age old problems.

If it makes you feel better, I was disappoiinted with Forza 2 as well. Although a great game, it felt almost unchanged from the xbox version.

As a huge 360 fan, u gotta admit this game will probably be the first game where the graphics look picture like.

I'm not a racing fan, not like I've tried, but literally to see the graphics I would get this game.

Squall18

They don't, trust me, it does look good though, especially the car models. It is a really, really fun game though. If this is anything to go by, the full game will be so awesome.

Yep. The game is that good.

Imagine what the full version will be like with over 900 cars and 100 tracks.

This prologue does show that the full game has alot've potential when it eventually drops sometime next yr. The all new handling model is a definite step up from the previous games despite what other posters will tell u, it really does feel more like driving now than ever before especially with the incar view.

The only bad part so far is the AI, PD claim it has been redone but to be honest it doesnt seem any different to even the first GT on ps1, the other racers will slam into u goin into a turn and cause u to get a penalty whilst they carry on like nothin happened, this definitely needs fixing or could become a major problem for the game.

Of course this is only a prologue so we cant expect all glitches/annoyances to be gone straight away but im really hoping PD do somethin about the dodgy AI cos so far this is a problem that will spoil a good game for me.
