Planes didn't really add much to the core gamplay of the series, it was a nice novelty with a few good missions but nothing beyond that. The game could be much more significantly improved by using the aiming system found in Saints Row and other improvements that game made to the genre like activities.

Actually, Jack Thompson was disbarred recently from attacking Rockstar and Take-Two games.

Small planes in GTAIII and Vice City. Those are returning to GTAIV. It just won't have big 747's and Jets like SA. Get out, you don't even know what you're talking about.

the whole hot coffee thing was such a stupid thing to bark about,but it would put GTA IV inhot water if the planes were crashing into big buildings...which i guess is bad cuz hilary and thompson and any other media whores would be all over this like flies on light.if only jack thompson went to a real college instead of one that grabs a license out of a cereal box,hands it to you,and says ur a licensed attorney or w/e teh fudge thompson does
GTA is the biggest series of last gen and I know Rockstar are once again going to deliver another fantastic entry in the series with GTAIV. It will probably be the best selling game of the franchise too.
I'm not sure how you can say GTA is dead. The reality is the exact opposite. GTA is a huge force in the gaming industry and can't/won't be stopped.

GTA III, Vice City, and San Andreas were essentialy "same game, different main character" - GTA IV doesn't change that at all. Now that the city is once again too small to justify having airplanes (it will have helicopters for you to fly) you're going to boycott it? Way to encourage them!
Rockstar will do just fine without your one sale. Enjoy clutching to your SD-versions if you want, that's your choice, but they're not going to release another GTA with planes because you encourage sales to stop, that' much is certain.
Madden doesn't sell anywhere near as well as GTA with each entry in the series, and the GTA series (every entry) is bigger overall than the Madden series.Â
I am admittedly a little disappointed that its going to be the same present day mafia type stuff. meh, seen it about a million times. I would rather it have been some way outrageous thing like the future or the distant past than just some dime a dozen storyline.
I'll totally buy it and like it. I just think we all look forward to GTA for the surprise, and we're just not really getting surprised much so far. Maybe on the next one they'll get creative again.
