GTA IV to be xbox exclusive??

I heard this on another forum, then decided to check it out for myself, so i am in no way claiming the credit for this. If you go to the rockstar games support site, here http://www.rockstargames.com/support/ and look under the drop down bar where it says choose a game, it only states gta iv for the xbox 360....

maybe thats what they mean when they said "things will be different". who knows? could be anything

well, there is an announcement tonight from microsoft, the gta trailer comes out tomorrow, claiming things will be different (think about it). who knows what will happen, could be something, could be nothing. Im not saying either way, but for now im actually leaning towards 360 exclusivemtradr43

Hypothetically, it's possible, but I wonder what kind of deal MS would have to strike with Take-Two in order to obtain R* games from them in order to make it exclusive.  And then there's always the worry that R*, if bought out by one of the big three, would turn into the next Rare, but it's definitely way too early to assume that.

Hypothetically, it's possible, but I wonder what kind of deal MS would have to strike with Take-Two in order to obtain R* games from them in order to make it exclusive.  And then there's always the worry that R*, if bought out by one of the big three, would turn into the next Rare, but it's definitely way too early to assume that.

I can't see this happening. GTA has always been a PS game. It would totally suck for Sony if GTA 4 was taken from them completely. I can understand Sony losing eclusives to the point of the game appearing on both the 360 and PS3, but not losing the game all together. That hasn't happened yet.... has it? Maybe the anouncement is some sort of online co-op on Xbox Live or something like that. I just can't see the PS3 losing such a great game completelywesty_58

It will not be just for 360 no way rockstar know how much they will make with this game. That is unless ms paid massive amounts of money :-)My_2c

That is kind of odd why that wouldn't show PS3 also. Hmmmm. Microsoft has a big anouncemnet today. It would be sweet if they said they bought rockstar.rexoverbey

Dear God the ownage that would occur here in SW if MS were to acquire R* games and secure GTA IV as Xbox exclusive!!! I don't think that the forums would be able to contain that amount of ownage..Gamespot would short out and shut down...thus the users here would move to various sites, and continue shutting down those sites, eventually covering the entire internet with ownage. It would be quite something to behold...not to mention the response that Sony fanboys would then give "GTA was never any good anyway" as damage control. I don't know that a buyout by MS would happen, but it's definitely not out of the question.crazygamer1
