GTA V is BEST on PS3.

They are not showing the xbox 360 version,because they don't have to prove their games run well on that console,GTA IV was sub HD and inferior on PS3,so was RDR,even sony pushed rockstar to go with deferred rendering for their RAGE engine and it backfired :cool:.

I'm a SONY fanboy, but I'm also a speaker of truth and not of lies. I've owned both the PS3 and XBOX 360 (though I sold both when I built my gaming PC), and I can say from experience that games look and run better on the XBOX 360, which has a more powerful GPU, unified memory, and simpler architecture. I noticed this with RE5, GTA IV, and Dead Space. Even though the CELL processor in the PS3 can compensate for the RSX's shortcomings, the complicated architecture and split memory pool make programming for the system very difficult. It is for these reasons that I wouldn't be surprised that GTA V looks better on the XBOX 360. However, considering the fact that Rockstar has been working on this game for five years, there may be a possibility that they've mastered the process of coding for the PS3 and have managed to make the PS3 version of the game at least on par with the XBOX 360. Only time will tell; I can't wait to see comparison videos and reviews.

On the contrary, it's been stated numerous times by multiple devs that the porting process is easier if you start with the PS3 and then port from there since the architecture is more complicated.

I live in San Francisco, and every billboard or bus stop ad I've seen says "GET IT ON SEPTEMBER 17th" then at the bottom it says "On Playstation".. but that's it.

it doesn't say Xbox 360 nowhere on the entire ad, I'm convinced the PS3 version will be the superior version in all fronts, makes me sad though since I own a 360(have so since 06)

because seriously, there is no greater example of the ps3 getting schooled on multiplats than rockstar games.

i just don't have the cripplingly poor  social skills it requires to brag about it in sw.

hell, i forget to mention that pc is best specifically because it is so overwhelmingly the best when i see a topic like this i automatically rule it out of my mind because it goes without saying.

plus, all i said was gta 5 might possibly be the first rockstar game on the ps3 that is above 640p.

sure they are not pc gfx but i have seen piles of pretty games this gen.

from kameo right at the beginning to bioshock and  tlou here at the end of the gen i have seen some great looking games on consoles.

i can appreciate pc for what it is and consoles for what they are.

my observation is that it makes me chuckle to see these best on ps3 threads when if gta 5 makes it above 640 it will be the first r* open world game this gen to do it.

i bring that up because it is what makes it unlikely that gta5 will be the best looking console version.
