i think hes talking about the euphoria engine where the ragdolls have that motor nervous system or something. so they react to the environment and stuff.

Yeah, naturalmotion has awesome ragdoll-to-animation transitions.
Made this in my first day using endorphin, where you can mess around with that stuff. Not too great, but I'm a noob to animation.

And for the record, GTA IV's physics don't hold a candle to Crysis's

Even we are sick of him...
Eh, for what it is, the graphics are amazing, don't expect Crysis level graphics in a world this open and large and on consoles. Stop being a graphics whore. rolo107
the graphics do a great job of creating a gritty, rough looking world, the OP is obviously blind, I have played it in SD and 1080i HD, the graphics look great either way

I wish Crysis was as much fun to play.I second that.
You never played Crysis
You never played GTA IV
I have played GTA4 on 360 at my brothers and PS3 at my mates both on HDTV's, the game looked like a jagged mess on the PS3 but had less pop in also it was very dark in the black areas, not sure whether these were down to a poor TV or bad settings though.
On 360 the pop-in was more noticable but it looked cleaner, bright and I was able to see all the nice detail as the dark areas were brighter, again I'm not sure if this was down to the TV but the 360 version looked better from what I saw. It seems as though the 360 version was running at a higher resolution.

Oh stop it, you three.
They are both awesome games, anybody stating the opposite is just a fanboy.
Graphics are amazing, massive environments, brilliant effects, flowing water, great animation, excellent lighting and modelling - especially environments and cars. Most importantly, it's got the atmosphere nailed. inertk
The water is the one thing that truly does look great technically. The reflections, refractions, waves etc. And apart from all the things you mentioned, the draw distance is rather epic as well. The art direction is mostly great too. The attention to detail. It's a beautiful game.
360 version? The graphics in supposedly HD, look terrible, Jaggies everywhere, low res textures, and the list goes on.
The only thing I praise it for are PRETTY good physics, (I said pretty good because Crysis blows it away in physics.
GTA in SD, looks like a last gen game, no joke.
So yea....GTA has Bad Graphics.

I wish Crysis was as much fun to play.According, to gamespot, Crysis is one of the best FPS ever made, so yea.
It is fun to play, play it and then talk (which I know you haven't)
According, to gamespot, GTA4 is one of the best GAMES ever made, so yea. ;)Standard Painballz - anyone who doesn't agree with you must be lying. Yes, I finished the game. As I recall, coming out of the spaceship in Paradise Lost, you make an immediate right turn, and the path curves around to the left. About halfway down, a shotgun and FY71 are sitting near some rocks and debris. Follow the path further down and to the left, and two aliens will be dropped in by a larger alien. There are villages, and rivers throughout the maps in Crysis, but....o wait, you never played

Captain Obvious is sand box game.. what else you expect?...LordoftheVacas
exactly, This is a stupid topic
I agree. I think people are crazy for saying its looks amazing. I think technically its probably doing some cool stuff simply because of the scope of the game, but I've never seen anything that looks as good as any screenshot i've seen posted.
But really I think the whole game is over-rated. I think that events painted Rockstar as some prosecuted saviour (Hot Coffee) that was down on its luck (poor financial performance for years between GTA games) and persecuted by the blinded masses (Manhunt 2). They were willing to sacrifice themselves for freedom of speech and games as art (Manhunt 2... despite that the game sucked) so gamers and gaming press admired them. They released a game that was good and now I think they are reaping praise that has nothing little to do with the game that was actually released.
One person gave it a 10/10 and everyone followed suit. I mean, Rockstar represents gaming. They sacrificed themselves for mankind and stood against the evil Empire... that in itself is worth 12/10. Similar to how someone might say, "Michael Jackson is a child molester? Yeah right. Thriller is the best album ever." or "R. Kelly has sex with 14 year olds? Yeah right, I Believe I Can Fly is one of the best songs ever." GTA4's review scores all seem to be heavily inlfuenced from past achievement rather than the actual game in question.
GTA4 = San Andreas with better physics that don't really make anything relating to gameplay better, improved fighting/shooting that brings it up to the level of a PS1 quality action games from a decade ago, and updated graphics that still somehow look worse than all the other games released on the console (which is the GTA trend that started all the way back with the top down versions).

If I prove that I have it will you promise to never post in system wars ever again? I mean since you know for a fact that I have never played Crysis.. I have posted my setup here before. I have a quad core PC with a 8800gt.I don't talk about games I haven't played. It's not how I roll.
What makes your opinion better than all of the people that gave it a 10? You are dwelling on the score too much. the game has been reviewed, it scored a 10, complaining about it is just sour grapes. Let it go for god sakes, you aren't changing anybody's mind that likes it and agrees with the score.I agree. I think people are crazy for saying its looks amazing. I don't think OOT ever deserved a 10, but you know what? A lot of people thought it did and my opinion doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things. I don't complain about it because I understand that a game review is just an opinion. And sometimes I'm not going to agree with it.
Give it a rest.
